What size are the burners?

Each one is almost 7.5 inches in diameter. You are not suppose to use a pot or pan that is larger then the burner, however I do and have not had a problem.

Can it be used in a car outlet?

I did try it with inverter in car outlet it kept blowing out fuse as soon as I turned it on.

Is this product bird-safe? Does it contain ptfe?

I wouldn’t rule that out. We only used it a few times and it sparked and smoked from the knob that adjusts the temperature, it filled a house with smoke. Don’t buy it! Super cheaply made!

Has anyone experienced the control knobs getting warm/hot when using it?

No but the unit itself gets very hot. Place it on a surface that won't get hot.
