Allow me to save you a lot of trouble shopping for other brands and models. I've purchased and returned virtually every competitor to these lifts from TALLMENSHOES because none came close to the quality and fit of these lifts. These lifts very well constructed and comfortable. Happy to see that they now produce a 1" model as a midpoint between their likewise excellent 1/2" and 1.4-1.8" models.

Really like these inserts. Use them to compensate for a shortened left leg after operation for a broken leg uncovered multiple myeloma in that leg. Now that the cancer is in remission, these lifts are just what I needed to walk without limping, or compensating for the shorter left leg.

These were too tall for my shoes but each one easily separates into two = ¼" & ¾" That worked out well for two different pairs of shoes. There are two parts that are lightly glued together and I was able to pull them apart with little effort. So in a way they are adjustable height from ¼" to 1" depending on the amount of space you have in your shoes. It is a good idea to get lifts like this that don't have the toe section as things would get too tight I am sure. I am medium height at 5'10"ish With the heels on my shoes and the ½" insert I measure almost 6'tall and that helps me keep up with the high heels the ladies wear out dancing.

I have purchased several pairs for all my shoes and boots. They are very comfortable and add 1 inch to your height. Easy to walk with. Not awkward.

This item is not comfortable it slides and doesn't really help with the unevenness of my legs. Would not recommend.

After one and a half days of use, top layer of insert was peeling off. Not sure these are going to hold up. Adds one inch of height. Only attempt using these inserts in high top shoes or boots that cover the ankle. Will not work in lower profile footwear.

This is the best one out there, don't let the price fool you. It's solid, stable, stays in place and it works. Other types such as gel, air, cushion, etc. don't seem to last long and they are not that comfortable either. Just to note that this is not made for a long walk or hike, it is not to provide support and comfort.

It doesn't fit any shoes, I can only use them with my tall converse.
