The best sponge mop of all time!
I have been looking for this mop for a long time, and I'm so glad it showed up on Amazon! This is the "mop from the past," that I used as a newlywed and loved because of its ease of use plus the sponge is actually a sturdy (real) sponge that lasts. I bought 2 refills, while I know I can get them with the mop. It boggles my mind why this kind of mop isn't sold all over. It should be in every store that sells mops. It fits not only in the bucket easily, it also fits under the kitchen cabinet area so easily, and the wringer is very efficient. As far as I'm concerned, there are none that compare. I'm thrilled that I found it. I'm tossing the one I have (another brand). You'll love it.

So Good To Find Again
Couldn't find H refills anywhere for years but kept old well made metal mop just in case. Newer substitutes weren't as good. This H refill worked well. It is a dense one piece synthetic sponge with small pores as opposed to the old large pore 2 color open pore refill. The locking nuts are threaded multiple turn types instead of 1/4 turn old ones but seem to hold. Durability is unknown but will update if not good.

Good mop!! Came damaged.
The mop appears to be well made but a screw cap was missing and the tab on the sponge that it was suppose to attach to was broken. Furthermore, a refill or replacement J Series sponge is difficult to find, if at all. I have used this mop before and loved using it but it's not easy to find sponges for it so I had to toss it, which I really hated to do. You would think that they would continue to keep the J series sponges in stock for a solid piece of equipment like this one.

Excellent replacement J type head
I had about given up trying to find a replacement mop head for my HDX mop after the big box stores quit carrying them. I just used this one for the first time, and it works very well. I gave it a 4 for absorbency, but I know it will get better as it gets “broken in” the old head was very absorbent, but it was also worn out by the time I replaced it. Be sure your HDX mop had a J stamped in the top of the head, and the old head measures 11” before you order this item.

Very poor product, customer service
This is a review of a Quickie mop refill H that was delivered in mid-June for a pre-tax price of about $17 and which lost its attachment to the mop by mid-August after very light use. So, one issue is durability. But there are other serious problems. For one, it takes a very unwelcome investment in time to find match the right refill to a mop because the H refills are not labeled as such, at least on Amazon. I had to waste money a couple of months ago in buying S refills because of the poor quality of explanations. Furthermore, there was no provision I could see -- after additional wasted time studying the site -- to buy multiple refills, instead of the one-at-a-time refills for $17 apiece, plus tax and any shipping (I have Prime, though). Message to Quickie: If your product is planned to deteriorate so quickly to encourage expensive replacements at least don't make the customer waste so much time along with money! As indicated, I'm not happy with this product or its management's customer service. Rather than keep trying my luck on refills, I'm buying a different brand of mop. Goodbye Quickie. You should have gotten your act together.

Need to consider this before buying
If I knew before purchasing what I realized the first time I used it I would have found something different. I think appliances may have changed over the years. I specifically purchased this mop to use with a wax finish product. I also thought I could use it for cleaning because the swiffer always gets stuck while using the wet pads on it and then the head flips causing more trouble than it’s worth.Anyway, things changed since I last used a sponge mop as a little girl. The appliances come so close to the floor (especially the drawer on the stove) so I couldn’t get next to it because the plastic part the sponge attaches to would scratch the black stainless steel finish if I did. So I had to use a rag to go along the bottom of the appliances. The next time I just used my big OCedar large rectangle mop that all corners are covered with a terry cover. I was saving it for when we got nicer flooring put in, but oh well. At least my floors finally shine to make the most of the old linoleum! Brightens my day not having dull ugly flooring! Also it comes with this Brillo pad strip to scrub. I couldn’t figure that thing out at all. It just falls off.The sponge wrings out well though, so if you don’t have new appliances you’re worried about scratching because they cost too much and you waited too long to arrive, then this is a great sponge mop! Go for it!

Strdy and convenient
Don't know why any negatives reviewd, good quality. Mop rinses easily, scrubber stay attached via velcro type strip. Mop, scrub, mop, rinse. It ain't rocket science. Keep the outside plastic nuts screwed down, do not over tighten. Excelsior!--Kentwood Guy.

“Type J 11 inch.” Yes, it’s the one you’re looking for.
It fits! I finally found the type J, 11 inch refill sponge mop head. Yes, it’s the one that you and I, we both, have been looking for. It fits The automatic sponge mop from that “big box store” that stop selling its own brand automatic sponge mop. Left us with a good mop, but no Refills. Yeah, that one. I can’t call the name on Amazon site, but you know the one I’m referencing. Glory glory glory, this is the sponge head that you are looking for the 11 inch version. This is the 11 inch not the 9 inch. Hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah it fits perfectly. I bought one and after I found out it fit I came back to buy four more. The max was five. Hopefully Amazon post my review so you can see it. Buy them now, before they are gone or you’ll be back in the boat you were before. Good luck! I am smiling.
