Love this tool. Perfect we’re digging thru clay and weeds and using to plant flowers. It’s easier to break through with the serrated edge. Bought one for use and one for gift. The leather sheath is top quality. This is a tool that will last for years and has a good iron quality. Buy it again!

Hori Hori knives are a must-have. This one seems very sturdy. I have always had a simple steel hori hori, so having an SS variety is a step up...I think. I hope it is not brittle. It is sharp, maybe too sharp. I have never needed to sharpen a hori hori knife, so I am not sure why the sharpening stone needed to be included. BTW, for those that care, the sheath is not real leather, but it is a hefty facsimile. I suggest squishing it from side to side to have the knife fit the sheath better. It is a tight fit. If you compress the sheath from side to side the knife will slip in more readily.

There are several knives offered on Amz., here, that look fairly similar. I liked that this one said, straight out, the blade steel was 440 stainless. It is a decent steel and there is a LOT of it here for the price! The plain side was not very sharp initially, but with a fair amount of work on the whetstones it sharpened well. The curved angle was odd to sharpen. I’d just never encountered a blade shape like this. The scooped side I sharpened flatter. The handle was very blocky and large. A little sanding of the edges rounded it some and made it more comfortable in hand. Sheath is decent and sturdy. The A) tiny whetstone it comes with is B) very coarse. I’d not use it on the knife fir these reasons. It is a heavy, formidable, blade that will serve many purposes while gardening.

This gadget is the perfect garden and lawn tool. The high quality stainless steel blade is thick and full tang into the handle. The serrated edge is nice and sharp for cutting, the blade is wide, sturdy, and pointed. The measurement marks are deeply etched. This is a tool with great potential for frequent use and a long life! The sheath is a little snug and doesn't hang flat when I walk, but the loop fits my belt and frees up my hands. Unbelievable price for the quality!
