Finish Line Dry Bike Chain Lube – Ceramic Dry-Film Lubricant – Dirt & Dust Resistant

I took apart the trapezoid tuners from a Fender Bullet Strat which get bad-mouthed often. When I did so I saw a few dabs of poorly placed, low quality grease on the gears here and there. Other places showed the grease had attracted dirt and grit into the tuners. What a mess. I soaked the tuners in some naphtha in a coffee can with a few drops of 3-in-One oil for an hour or so, occasionally checking on them to make sure the naphtha was not doing any damage to the plastic parts of the tuners or the finish. I also took the time to give the tuners a few twists to make sure the mixture got in there real good. When I was done, the grease, grit and gunk were gone and the tuners were clean. I let the tuners dry out and then I applied "Finish Line DRY Teflon Bicycle Chain Lube" to all of the gears, giving them a few more twists so the teflon got in everywhere. After I reassembled the tuners and re-strung the Bullet, I gave it my best amateur set up. A week later I can say the tuning machines are actually better than new. They are smooth and precise. It is my hope that the teflon will repel dust and grit instead of attracting it. I cannot say how good this stuff is for bikes but it did what I wanted perfectly.

This stuff rocks. Cleaned my chain good, Applied this and it lasted a goo month or so; including rides in the wet. I ride at night so when I come home I spray the bike off with water to get the mud off, but I don't have time to clean it properly at 1AM. Using this lube the chain sheds water and does not rust when I let the bike sit over night.

Great product… if you can open the bottle. I just rode an 8-day tour with lots of mud and rain. This lubricant really helped my gritty chain. But it was sooooo hard to open the cap. I really needed it on the last day, but no one could open the safety cap.

I usually buy this at Walmart but they were out so I ordered it here. The price was a little higher than I normally pay. This functions well and has extended the life of my bike beyond what I would normally expect. I live in Florida and between the humidity, heat and frequent rain rust is a problem. This has kept the rust down. I use a few drops every week on my chain and gears. I don't know why rating for sheerness and warmth are in the review for this. I gave five stars for everything but those last two items don't apply.

Use an old t shirt, hold it in your hand beneath the chain as you squeeze it onto the chain. then rub the chain. It cleans and lubricates. It is super thin so trail dirt does not easily stick to it. I do it either after every 30 mile ride, But sometimes after every two 30 mile rides.

I have been riding bikes and using oils just attracts dirt and black soot. I am always cleaning a chain. I wish I had this product years ago. Little cleaning of may chain and the chain never looks 'dirty" Never an issue of the chain slipping gears.

I prodotti Finish Line sono senz'altro tra i più conosciuti ed appprezzati per la manutenzione della bici; ne ho usati diversi sia liquidi che spray, per bici da strada e mtb e mi sono sempre trovato bene. Il Finish Line Teflon Plus Secco (confezione rossa) è la prima volta che lo uso, ho usato quello per climi umidi (confezione verde) per mtb e bdc e sembra più lubrificante e durevole, sembra anche più silenzioso, però respinge meno lo sporco che tende ad accumularsi (come più o meno con tutti gli olii) su catena, corone e pignoni, sporcandoli e riducendone la vita causa effetto abrasivo delle varie impurità che rimangono attaccate. Il Finish LIne Teflon Secco l'ho usato solo con la bici da corsa, quasi sempre con giornate senza pioggia, sia con una catena usata che con una nuova e complessivamente mi sono trovato bene. La catena nuova sembrava più rumorosa, ma dopo un migliaio di km di rodaggio adesso il rumore è quello classico. L'ho preso perchè stanco di catene sporche e nere da pulire spesso e devo dire che sotto questo aspetto funziona molto bene. E' molto fluido e volatile e la sensazione è che lubrifichi e duri poco, ma è una sensazione, credo faccia bene il suo lavoro, occorre solo oliare la catena con più frequenza. Con catena pulita, lo distribuisco maglia per maglia, perno per perno, tenendo uno straccio sotto alla catena, infatti è molto liquido e il beccuccio erogatore, se non si sta molto attenti, ne fa uscire davvero troppo sprecandolo. L'olio è molto liquido, contiene dei solventi (meglio non darlo in ambienti chiusi, ma all'aperto) che consentono la sua fine penetrazione nelle parti in movimento e che poi evaporano lasciando le superfici rivestite di teflon lubrificante. Lo uso da più di un anno e devo dire che mi trovo molto bene, volevo la trasmissione che si sporcasse poco e lo scopo è stato raggiunto, polvere e sporco si attaccano davvero molto poco, la lubrificazione e la silenziosità sono molto buone, solo la durata è un po' più breve di quello verde per climi umidi, è sufficiente darlo qualche volta in più.

I read lots of review thats why purchase this lube. Didnt try it yet but i was expecting that it will do its work.
