Works well and has a reasonable price. There are many more expensive disk locks and other theft deterrents, but this one does what I need when visiting spots where I like to discourage would-be motorcycle thieves.

I think the video with shows the lock not making noise is because the owner never put the required battery into the unit. This thing works great and it is loud enough to be annoying!!

This is a great device to prevent someone from stealing your bike. It doesn't completely stop someone from being able to pick it up and throwing it in the back of a truck, but sure does scare away an amateur thief who gets scared and runs away when it makes noise if they start tampering with it. It also prevents someone from being able to roll your bike away too. I recommend this, a chain, and a bike cover if you leave your bike outside like I do. Just make sure it's pin can fit in your rotor, which it should for most bikes. Would recommend.

I’ve had this for a few months now and it’s been great. Because of its size that goes past the disc brakes, it’s quick to put on and take off which is what I wanted whenever I leave my bike anywhere. I didn’t want to fumble around trying to put it in through the little holes in the disc. It’s also pretty loud and sensitive at least for me. I’ve had no issues with the locking mechanism as others have mentioned but I also live in a dry area. Be careful not to lock it and throw it in your pocket.

It’s a good lock. Feels sturdy and is somewhat compact for what it is. It’s not sensitive at all though. If someone tries to roll out or carry your bike or drops it, it will go off I’m almost certain. But if a drunk fool touches or sits on your bike then most probably it won’t go off. I guess this could be a plus or a minus depending what you are looking for, but for me personally, I’d rather have it a little more sensitive. I saw reviews complaining that it does not go off at all, I am suspecting they might not have activated it. When you lock it, it will either give a single beep, followed by another longer beep in a few seconds - that’s how you know that the alarm is active. If it beeps twice when you lock it then the alarm is not activated. I also wish it was a little bit louder, it’s not quiet but I think it could be louder.

Second only to a helmet, the best motorcycle gear investment I've made! This lock recently kept my motorcycle from being stolen. I didn't know anything had happened until I saw the cutoff tool marking on the lock when I returned to my motorcycle after a quick trip into the grocery store. The alarm apparently scared off the thief so quickly that the lock was marked but not damaged. It still works perfectly! Kudos to Kryptonite.

This lock does have an alarm, but unlike others a stiff breeze will not set it off. It will go off if you try to move the bike or start messing with the lock itself, and that is all i was looking for. Would have liked a slightly larger pin that goes through the disc, but what is there is satisfactory. The one big change i would like to see is to make it available in a bright color instead of black and chrome. I want potential thieves to spot it before even coming over to my moto, especially since i lock it on the rear disc. The colored reminder cable form the lock to the handlebar help with that, but all the same, a bright color on the lock itself is better. It has been on the bike in rain and snow and i have never had a problem with water getting in the battery compartment or with corrosion. I also like the one beep for locked and two for unlocked. Very simple. It also fits perfectly under the seat of my Versys 1000. Overall i am very satisfied with the product and would purchase again.

Not loud very disappointing and had to bump bike hard to get alarm to start Alarm only goes off for like 10 seconds before shutting off and needing to be bumped again not confident being to always hear alarm from inside even if the bike was in your driveway a tv being on won’t let you hear it
