Works well. Keep in mind, you can never get all the previous dye out of shoes if you are trying to re-dye them. Ii can take 4 or 5 coats / sometimes two bottles, depending if you are dying darker or lighter.

Used this to strip a 25+ year old leather sofa. I only bought one bottle because I honestly though there would be very little glaze left on the sofa, after two and a half decades of kids and small dogs scrabbling to climb up. Boy was I surprised. I could easily have used two or three bottles. BTW, I used clean microfiber clothes, so I wouldn't leave lint behind. You can buy packs of about 25 via amazon for well under $20, and they are ideal for this project. WARNING: This stuff smells so awful, you will be scrambling to open windows, doors, even considering punching holes in walls to catch your breath. I honestly worried we might lose a bird or a cat to the odor. Think of the foulest chemical odor you can possibly imagine. This is unimaginably worse. Use rubber gloves with this stuff. If it smells this bad and strips leather this well, heaven only knows what it will do to your skin, which is, basically, untanned leather itself. However, that said, it did a fabulous job stripping the sofa and prepping it for the dye job to come. I now have a sofa that looks brand spank new, so new that my neighbor has booked my for next spring, when we can use the deglazed OUTDOORS and do hers as well. Use this before trying to dye your project

I have been looking for a pair of red boots for a couple of years. I couldn't find anything I liked (not a hot item, so pickins was slim). So I decided to do it myself. I took the ankle boots, used this deglazer, then applied the Fiebings red acrylic dye, and finished with Fiebings neutral Resolene. I've been wearing them daily for nearly 2 weeks, even in inclement weather. They still look like they did 2 weeks ago. I'm wearing them right now. No paint chipping or cracking. The deglazer is the first step.

Amazing! Removed glitter paint from boots that nothing else would touch! Totally saved these boots. I was worried about the smell after reading other reviews but worked with open windows and it wasn’t any worse than regular nail polish remover. I did try nail polish remover before purchasing this and it did nothing! I highly recommend this! Very very impressed! Worked a true miracle!

J’ai eu un très bon résultat mais faire attention, si vous en laisser trop au même endroit, peut abimer le cuir. Je conseil une petite quantité sur un chiffon et repasser.
