Overall a excellent riding shoe. The hook and loop top band with ATOP lacing eliminated flapping laces and loops and makes on and off super simple. My feet tend to swell after a while in a the saddle. One or two notch turn of the knob releases the pressure but keeps everything snug. I normally wear a 11 to 11 1/2. I ordered a 12 based on others input about sizing. Perfect fit! So these run about a 1/2 or so size small than published size. Of course your choice/thickness of socks will also play into the equation. The sole narrows from the arch to the heel...which gives a strange walking impression. I have to take exception with some comments saying it is uncomfortable to walk in...to which I say it is a riding shoe, not a walking shoe. Just fine for stopping for fuel and the steps required to get a coffee. The sole is soft but firm and provides good arch support and non-skid-literally planted my foot in a oil slick (unintentional) at a intersection on hot tarmac-no slip what so ever. You can feel your foot position on the pegs, but it is not painful at all. I have seen no immediate need to replace the insoles. While riding, to me at least, it feels like you are just wearing socks and no shoes. The air flow is superb-better than my running shoes. The one real nit I have and as others have mentioned is the back loop. It is comically large for what it needed. I have had mine catch my kick-stand nib while coming to a stop-which promptly killed the bike since I was in gear. A nuisance/annoyance that could have manifested to tragic-but it didn't. I have since added a small dash if riggers tape to coral the errant loops. Overall, very, very happy with the purchase and use. Safe travels!

I think what's most surprising about these little boots is how light they feel to wear, while offering great protection for my feet. They are extremely easy to get on and off, and the fit is so comfortable with the quick lacing dial. So far I love these, they are tough, flexible, light and stylish. As a martial artist I could definitely fight in these! Weird recommendation for a boot, but that's just how flexible they really are. I hope, hope, hope they last me many years. I would buy them again. Dec 2 2024: More than a year later, these have held up so well, and I am still so delighted with them, another pair as backup has become my Christmas self gift/ present! Just can't imagine being without these comfortable things. Have severe nerve damage in my left foot, these make walking bearable, the adjustable tightening helps a great deal.

Wow!! I am new biker but already noticed my regular boots, sneakers, and even combat boots were not up to par for riding. It’s super hot right now, so I really like the ease of sneakers as opposed to boots. Then I find these babies. I have not ridden my bike in them yet, but first impression is I’m in love. Protection for ankles, gear shift padding on top and no fears of shoelaces coming undone. They are a breeze to slip on and off and I love the little wheel to tighten and loosen. They feel like clouds, lol! They are super cute and comfy and so far I am very pleased and feel they are worth every penny. The only thing I’m going to alter is the pull on strap on the back part of the heel could get caught on something, so I’m going to get a little Velcro square to be able to tack it down when I’m riding, but other than that, I just found my go-to riding shoes. I usually wear a US Women’s size 9.5, so after reading reviews, I sized 1/2 size down and got the Women’s size 9. Fits great! I’ll update after riding for a bit, but as of now I’m giving this 5 stars!! 💜 🏍️. Very happy girl here!

I just received these and compared them to Rev-It G-Force 2 Riding shoes. The Rev-It's had a stiff sole and made shifting a bit cumbersome. The Rev-It's were very well made though. Now these Shima Exo's felt very comfortable once I slid my foot in them. The soles had the right amount of flex to them and the velcro strap is nice and large. The lace system and velcro strap make my feet feel very protected. The tongue is a bit on the narrow side (perhaps intentionally to help vent heat). The overall design and feel of these riding shoes won me over. I typically wear a size 11.5 wide and these 12 narrow shoes fit just right.

Shoes are great. Easy to put on and comfy. They are a tad big (I wear a men’s 13 and they sent me a 48 which I have other boots in a 48) I feel if they had a 12.5 I would have probably returned and got them but I’m pretty sure a full size down will be too small. I love the ventalation as well, my other boots are hot and make my feet sweat but these have good airflow.

I don't have anything negative to say about these and highly recommend them! I usually we're a size 8.5 shoe, but after reading other reviews, I decided to go with a 9.5 narrow and they fit perfectly! I thought they would feel like a clunky boot, but they fit more like a pair of sneakers and are really comfortable! They are super light and somehow keep your foot really cool. I can't feel the heat coming off my motorcycle either. The soles offer outstanding traction even when on gravel or wet pavement. I liked them so much that I also bought one of Shima's jackets... which is also amazing!

These are good for hot-weather riding. The provide plenty of airflow to keep your feet from overheating even in hot, humid weather. Much of the air seems to come in from the top, but it still cools the bottoms of your feet. These boots have good ankle padding and reinforcements in front for shifting gears. The tread is relatively smooth, and while that gives decent traction on pavement, these boots will slip in the mud. Overall, a good value for the money.

Could easily be 5 stars. I loved these shoes and still do really. I only have one issue. I’ve had these shoes now for over a year and I ride every day as long as it’s not raining or there’s black ice on the road. I have 2 Cons with these and they are the the Velcro strap with the loop ring it goes through and the heat I feel in the summer time. I love my shoes tight so I pull the strap a good bit every time I put them on. The material that surrounds the ring started to wear down a little so now instead of the ring being up and down, it now goes long ways making the strap thinner at the back end and scrunched up. I would recommend some how putting two rings or something to keep the rings from turning then these would be perfect. Well worth the price. They are breathable. My only other con was in the summertime when riding in 85+ degree heat, my feet at times start to feel like I’m walking on hot coals. Not sure if I can swap out the insole or something to stop that. But other than those two these shoes are great. Durable in the rain, yet just a little slippery on the foot pegs. Stiffness is perfect. Enough give to also wear as a daily shoe. Style is sleek and subtle. Would buy them again and hope to see some type of upgrade. Would love to try that out. Also, the BOA system. It’s just the best. No worry about shoe laces or slack from pull strings. Slip on, velcro, crank em down and you’re out the house.

The boots are really great and worthy of five stars, but AmazonUK twice sent me the wrong size. I ordered 45 and got 44 both times. I kept the first pair even though they're too small. I returned the second pair and won't risk buying them again.

Stylish, good workmanship, plenty of hard bits all around the shoe. I have wide feet so could've done with a wider fit which these guys don't have but the half size does the trick decently. These guys also have a 6 year warranty, which might be interesting in the long run. Let's see.
