I have been researching radio/CD players for awhile and, like most people, I was first and foremost concerned with quality sound and radio station reception. Second, easy operation, such as simple knobs for volume and tuning. Third, ease of switching functions (for me, this is just the radio and CD player). Fourth, the size of the unit so I could use it on my night stand or other locations in the house. After checking ratings and reviews on other brands, I finally settled on this one and, once I removed it from the box and plugged it in, it was clear to me that this Megatek was an excellent choice! Whether playing CDs or the radio, the sound is impeccable with the factory setting, whether I'm playing operas or classic rock or listening to my favorite classical radio station. The volume knob has a good range (0-32) which is convenient because sometimes CDs aren't recorded at the best level, so you can control it accordingly for optimal sound. The same is true with radio stations, especially those with weaker signals, but that's what the attached antenna is for, though I haven't needed to use it because major stations come in loud and clear. As a bonus, there is a preset function for your favorite radio stations (scan or set them manually); as for me, I only use a few stations, so I like the knob on top for manual tuning. Sound is #1, as I began this review, and again, I find the factory setting to be perfectly balanced so you get good sound and that includes bass, treble, or anything in between. Some players have an awful tinny sound and thankfully, you won't find that with this unit - only terrific sound. It's a smart looking unit, too, as the product picture on Amazon shows. Now, I should point out that I'm very particular when it comes to music, and I can guarantee that if this Megatek Portable CD player with FM radio didn't meet my ears' high standards after I tested it out, it would have been returned the day I received it; but I am happy to report it's still here and thanks to Megatek, I am enjoying my CDs and radio every day immensely! There is also a user's manual with this unit for your handy reference. I might add, the price is very reasonable, too, for this quality unit.

I bought this player almost a year ago. Still works perfectly! There’s good sound quality, I use the radio and Bluetooth functions as well as the regular cd function which is great. Controls are pretty straightforward. It’s not the most compact but that’s no issue if you’re going for the classic bulky CD player style like I was. Only things I wish could be better would be that it would show what track you were on rather than the time stamp of the song.

I just received this CD/FM Portable Player (Model CB-M25BT). First the good news: Delivery was very fast (received in three days from date of order). Price was reasonable Sound quality is excellent, the FM stations came in very clear and when using the CD - no problem: no pops, squeaks, or hissing noises. I like the compact size and the handle which makes it easy to hold. When used in FM mode, you can actually see the stations on the screen, a big advantage over other models, you can lock and scan up to 30 stations or manually use the tuning dial (we plan to use this at the drive-in and you will be given a specific frequency to use. This a big advantage over those radios that don't have manual tuning). When using the CD, you can pick out songs you like (by scanning) - I this do a lot. Now the bad news: Whether using the AC (cord is included) or batteries (4-"C"). A small red indicator light comes on. This small red light stays on even if you turn off the player. In AC mode - who cares? But when using batteries, you must remember to remove them, otherwise they will be drained of power. Now, I found out that the battery life is around 10-12 hours. This isn't bad, but if you forget to remove those batteries and take this player to a beach, you won't be a happy camper! I wish they would have installed a on/off switch or not have this indicator light at all. The manual does not say anything about this. I have enclosed two photos - one with no power at all ,and the other, even if off - shows the red indicator light on. I am giving this a 4 star rating because of this. I still would recommend it - just remember about the batteries.

I’m very pleased with this little gem. It has numerous functions and best of all the volume goes high and quality of sound is great!

Great radio, sound, ease of use fantastic.

I find this radio/player a good buy for the price. Radio reception is very good in rural areas. I like the USB feature to play MO3/WMA format music. The CD player works perfectly, but with the USB I will rarely use it to play my music and the USB can read up sticks up to 128Gb; that's a lot of music. There is no random play feature, but for the price who cares; just skip FWD/BCK to the song you want. It is attractive, I like the red colour and is a very sturdy/solid build.

Bought this to gift to someone and it works great! I tested it out with the cable and played a few tracks off a cd. Sounds great and volume is adjustable. I tried out the FM radio that works great too and tuned to a few different stations. It has an antenna attached on the back that can be used which i did not in this case. There is no remote contril with this, but that is no problem. It has a nice handle attached there that you can use to carry around. Its is very light, which was surprising but it's nice. The size isnt too bad either. I got this one in black (for the sale price) and it has a ncie shiny finish on it. Overall satisfied with the purchase.

I really like this lightweight, compact CD player. I still have my old boom box from the late 90’s, but I wanted something less bulky that I could easily take with me from room to room. I love that it plays FM radio stations. I never listen to AM stations, so I’m not missing out on anything. I also love that this CD player has a power cord that I can plug into an outlet. I personally don’t care for having to use USB cables to charge devices. I’m old school. I’m tickled pink that I can plug an old-school pair of headphones into it and not disturb everyone else in the house. I can’t speak about the Bluetooth functionality because I don’t use it for that. I have a couple of wireless speakers that I use to amplify digital music. I took away one star for three reasons. The CD player does not come with a remote. I have to walk over to the CD player to skip ahead to the songs I want to hear on a CD. A remote control would make using this item much more convenient. My second complaint is the image on the play/pause button is confusing. I had to look at the instruction manual to understand what that button does. My third complaint is the display screen shows the playtime of each song instead of showing the track number being played. I’d rather look at the display screen and immediately know what track is being played. I don’t need to know how many minutes I am into a song. Despite my three dislikes, I would still recommend this CD player for its affordable price and portability.

I love this little unit. It has good sound and easy to use. Very portable. So glad I have the option of using batteries or cord. We use it outside on our deck when we bbq. Colour is very pleasing to eye. I only just received it and using it for a week so not sure of how long it will last. The price is very reasonable. We even get radio stations on it that we couldn't get before on our past boombox.

I bought this CD Player for my daughters birthday. She was so excited to set it up. When we removed it from the box we were disappointed to find it had an American plug and not suitable for Australia. I'll have to sort out a plug adaptor.

This CD player is excellent for the price. I have used it frequently since I received it and it works perfectly. I would definitely recommend it! KS

Great little boombox. Good sound, nice size. Would definitely recommend this to someone who wants a portable sound system.
