Used this on my French door replacement a few weeks ago, this makes keeping water out of your house a sure thing if you install it correctly. The installation instructions are good and it's a snap to put in. I don't know why you wouldn't use one honestly. Whoever installed the French patio doors on my house originally didn't use a door sill, nor did they use any kind of flashing around the doorway and I had to replace some of the wood because water got in and ruined it. This is definitely worth the money.

Pricey , but easier to do for me as I needed this for over a concrete sill for an Andersen sliding door. Flashing tape does not work well with concrete in my experience. I called tech support about sealing underneath the jamsill , between the concrete and the Jamsill. They suggested a couple of beads of silicone . My call was answered immediately and they knew exactly what I was doing and how to address my question. Be aware they provide the PVC adhesive but I also used a cleaner before applying it. Tape the joints temporarily for ten minutes. Another bead of silicone across the back side and slide the frame in place and you are done down there.

Value for money: 0 stars Ease of install: 5 stars Time to make my own sure sill and create some competition for these guys - the price is overblown for a simple plastic mold.

I needed a pan for a 72” set of glass sliders. The cardboard packaging was actually labeled as being good for up to 78”, but when I opened it, the actual plastic pieces were labeled as a 40” kit. I called Jamsill Guard and discovered that this Amazon seller is not associated with them in any way. When I ordered the correct part AND rush shipping direct from Jamsill Guard, it was less money than this kit (which showed up with free shipping). Just make sure you get what you paid for.

Easy to set up and use. Great product, but super expensive for what it is. Also why don’t Home Depot or Lowe’s sell these? That’s where I bought my door, yet no pan flashing available in store.

Like the product and hope it works for our new French door. I should have trimmed it though, to fit within the recessed area. I just left the whole middle section intact. That makes a problem for the roomside, as the floor covering installer will have to figure out what to do with the extra material. TRIM it to fit.
