Absolutely LOVE
Finally, a dehydrator that serves my needs and works amazing. My family loves jerky, not to mention I garden, so lots of herbs, and yes, I even like banana chips. This dehydrator can tackle all of those items. I quite making banana chips years ago because I couldn't get them to crisp up. Not an issue any longer. My jerky is done quicker and the fact that the trays are metal/mesh, makes clean up SO easy, pop them in the dishwasher and good to go. I love having the digital temp and timer on the top for easy setting.

Easy to clean
I'm so happy I bought it. So easy to use and so easy to clean. Has a bright bulb in it and you choose to turn on or off from the back. So quiet. The timer is a great option cause it shuts off when done. My family loves beef jerky and that's what I bought it for . Now I'm saving money by not having to buy it at the store.

Good so far...
I like that the trays are stainless steel and clean very easily. Eight shelves is enough for what I wanted to do and so far that's working out. When I used it the first few times, the temp setting was in Farenheit-great! Today, after a few hours I checked my fruit that was drying and saw the temp setting was Celsius and there's no way to change it that I can find in the manual or online. Like a previous reviewer said, the conversions are listed on the unit, so no big deal but it bugs me that it changed! The recipe book that came with it has lovely pictures, but the way the directions are written are incomplete on some of the receipes and minimal information for a newbie to dehydration like me. Overall though, it's a pretty good unit.. I will have to revisit after I've used it for a while .....

Replacing our old plastic dehydrator with this, a request/birthday present from mom (grandma).
We originally had a plastic one, but my mom kept nagging at me about how the plastic one isn't safe, so she actually gave me money this year to buy one for my birthday (she said I get to pick anyone as long as they're metal). So, comparing this one and the other one we have, obviously the capacity is much larger. This one has 8 trays whereas the other we had only had 5. I also like the the temperature control setting, this one lets you choose setting from 68F to 194F (whereas our old one has a dial and you don't really know exactly where the temperature is set to ... just the approximately range that it's somewhere between 0 to 122/131 and somewhere between that and 158. This one also has a timer so I don't feel the constant urge to check on it every few hours to make sure it's not over-done. Obviously I think this is an upgrade to the one we already have, or else we wouldn't be getting it. I do notice that with this one, I don't have issue "smelling the food that I previously dehydrate", whereas the plastic one sometimes I can still smell it in the dehydrator after the trays are washed. The food also stick on the metal a lot less than the plastic, for whatever reasons. My chicken jerky treats also turn out more "store bought" like with this one. So far we have made dried figs, dried dog treats (chicken jerky) and dried apple slices with it and have been very happy with the result. The sign on the dehydrator says the exterior is hot when dehydrating, so I kept it away from my kid on the kitchen counter, however, when I touched it, I didn't think it was burning hot, but probably a good reminder to keep it away from children. I don't remember our plastic one ever had the sign or issue of being hot to touch while on but I also notice the max temperature on the new one is much higher (194 vs 158). Definitely find out what you want and don't care for in a dehydrator, and if you want all the bells and whistles I listed, this one is definitely a keeper. I am sure there are pricier ones with things I don't even know can be done, but I am not willing to pay more than this to find out. :)

Wonderful design no plastic!
The design and engineering on the dehydrator is quite impressive. It fits perfect on my kitchen counter. I like that it has plenty of room with 8 shelves to dry lots of nuts, etc. It does an excellent job and the nuts taste much better than my previous dehydrator. The controls are very quick and easy. Although I wish they were in Fahrenheit instead of Celsius. They probably sell a lot of these in Europe. Also, NO plastic is much healthier. The light that I can switch off or on to see the progress is a pleasantly added bonus.

Great dehydrator, compact counter footprint
I've been using this dehydrator non-stop since I got it. I've made dried pineapple, banana, papaya, dragon fruit, longan and lychee fruits. I put the dried fruits in fruitcake for the holidays. Next up fruit melts, and proofing bread dough. The flat stainless trays are easy to clean. I like the small footprint of the dehydrator--it doesn't take up too much room on the counter, but has 8 trays, enough for my uses. The glass door makes it easy to see inside, and the latch is secure. The digital controls make it easy to set time and temperature. The recipe book is translated from some other language, so there is some entertainment value there. But the recipes are generally helpful. I'm sure I'll use my old stacked-plastic tray, fan-on-the-bottom, can't-control-the-time-or-temperature dehydrator some day, but I can't imagine what for.

Great dehydrator
I am very impressed with this dehydrator. I have used it several times to make jerky. It is easy to use and as the racks are metal they are much easier to clean. As some of the other reviews mentioned: it does not come with a tray to catch drippings. However, a piece of tinfoil works great for that. It is fairly quiet and seems to heat quickly and efficiently.

Great dehydrator! A step up from plastic models!
Strong fan, good heating element, simple temp time adjustment. Mine shows Fahrenheit in display, read some reviews said centigrade, no big deal either way. Iโve mostly used mine for garden dehydrating so far. Tomatoes, peppers, etc. it does great. I usually go longer than the recommended time because I donโt want them leathery. I grind most of my veggies and use em as a powder. Looking forward to jerky this deer season. I have not dehydrated fruits, I expect it will do great, based on drying tomatoes.
