This is great EVOO. I bought a more premium brand for straight taste, but use this for cooking. It has performed flawlessly in cooking, and tastes great on it's own. Would recommend for garnishing, flavoring, etc.

this is the BEST Olive Oil i have found of local US origin. reasonably priced. 3 Tablespoons every day, minimum. dip a quality Bread. Delicious. feel the authenticity burn. wonderful product. please do not stop producing this "California Olive" sourced Oil.

This California Olive Ranch organic olive oil arrived quickly and smells amazing! I like that it comes in a dark glass bottle and not plastic! We don’t need anymore plastic in our body’s! The taste is great and very high quality. Great value for the money. Big bottle! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a good quality organic olive oil!

This and 'Coburn Estate' are the best 100% California olive oil available. This one is 100% California, but the other 'California Olive Ranch' product is NOT. So read the small print !

Having received another brand of olive oil through Amazon that came to me broken, I was hesitant to give it another go. But with prices of olive oil so high and this being the best oil on the market in my view, I ordered a large bottle. I was delighted how well it was packed, and it came to me as safely as if I had picked it right off the shelf myself. This is a very large dark green bottle. The smell is lucious and the taste is perfect. I'm glad to see Amazon beginning to pack with care again. I was very close to ordering locally, even if they did not have as good a deal. But I took one more chance on Amazon and glad I did. As an olive oil aficionado, I highly recommend California Ranch 100% California.

If you have done your due diligence, you know a vast portion of the EVOO industry is run by the mafia, selling fake EVOO that is made of blends of other cheaper oils. That includes some of the biggest names in the industry. (Just Google 'olive oil mafia' if you haven't heard of this). This one, however is pure EVOO from California. Because it is manufactured in California, from beginning to end, I can trust that there are no middlemen or gangsters diluting it, and that the FDA has verified any claims by California Olive Ranch --unless they're ALL in on it-- but I digress... This is a fantastic olive oil with a natural, fruity flavor. The bottle is a gorgeous dark emerald green, thick and sturdy glass. Some may have a preference what they use this oil on, but I use it for everything, from oiling a pan, to marinating meat, to dipping bread. Some may actually prefer a fake oil because it is all they have ever known. I was like that at first. But after consuming this for several months now, I can never go back. Do be aware, however, that this company also sells a product called Destination Series that contains a blend of foreign oils, but at least they are transparent about it on the bottle. I wish they didn't, since I feel it detracts from what they are known for, 100% California, but I guess they have their reasons. Just be aware when shopping for California Olive Ranch products about the Destination foreign blend. Just make sure it says 100% California and you should be good. That being said, this particular product, the 100% California grown oil, is what is says it is, and does not contain foreign oils, nor is it affected by the mob rings who control EVOO in Italy. I will continue to purchase it as long as they stay true to their ideals of producing 100% California oil.

Good quality olive oil but I don't understand why it has to be so expensive. The minimum recommended daily is 30 ml per day and this 1 L bottle lasts hardly a month at close to $100. It tastes more genuine than Colavita I usually buy at one quarter of cost. Would the price worth it? Not sure. ps - in my latest purchase the Harvest date is 2024. Not good. Harvest date of over 12 months will lose its benefits. Will not buy from Amazon again.
