When shopping for an insulated soup container, could only find large units. The smaller sizes were cute but decked out for kids - not exactly what my boyfriend would enjoy. Finally found this one which has a wide-mouth for eating stews or entrees at work, does its job and at a good price. Recommend pre-heating with hot water prior to each use.

Its that time of year again on the east coast where soup & stew etc are a lunch/dinner staple. I was a little skeptical at first. Would this really keep food HOT until lunch time ( from time i make lunch @6:15am to 11 am)?? Well IT DOES!! Thermos is the perfect size to fit in lunch bag, purse, mini backpack,light weight & durable ( I've dropped it a time or 2) the seal is tight with NO LEAKS!!..Lunch bag has fell off seat in the car, fell over at work etc. NO MESS. Fits a large can of soup (18.8oz) w a bit of room left over to seal the top. Food is hot. Not boiling but steaming when stirred up. Enjoyable temp to eat. I have also filled the thermos w hot water from the kettle to pre heat the thermos. It does get hot quickly,use caution cuz the outside does get a bit warm to the touch. Washing after use is quick and easy. I can rinse it out while at work, comes clean in secs. If i wait until i get home it is still easy to clean. Rubber seal comes off to properly clean lid. Pasta sauce does leave a bit of a greasy feel on the lid since its plastic but no big deal. Just rewash and its fine. Would definetly recommend this item and buy again should i ever need to. Variety of colors . Delivery was quick, comes packaged in small box. No wasted materials. Comes with small pamphlet on how to care/use. Extremely happy w this purchase.

Great product. Food stays warm for hours. The handle makes it easy to transport and open (as long as you don’t shut it too tight like I do). Food doesn’t get stuck too bad in the seal but it’s generally easy to clean. The seal doesn’t get warped when you remove it for cleaning. Large capacity is big enough to fit 2 corn dogs without the stick (strange reference but parents will get it).

Good container, it keeps food hot and has a larger capacity than other thermal food containers. I have used in the past. I wish I had read the details more closely to see that this is not a dishwasher, safe item however. One more thing to hand wash is not a bonus in my world.

I got these because a couple nights a week, we're gone most of the evening for kids' activities (dance, gymnastics, etc). We eat dinner at the studio and wanted to have an option to have hot food, there's no access to a microwave in the common area. We've put spaghetti, soup, and stir fry so far in these containers and they do an excellent job of keeping our dinner warm for the 3-5 hours until we sit down to eat. The one time we brought a hot soup, it was still too hot for the kids to eat! It'd been in the container for 3+ hours. The insulation these jars provide is excellent! But I also learned not to pack them with cold beverages, the outside of the container did get warm from the soup and we had juice boxes next to them. Now the hot and cold items each get their own small cooler.

If you need a container for herbs, or want to carry hot liquids these Goodful containers are great. These are good quality and seal well. The size is appropriate for my needs and it is easy to carry along with me wherever I go. These are easy to use and clean and they come in several colors that look great.

Bought two…they are: nicely forged; smooth with a nice, powder-coated finish; the handles are convenient — for tightening/loosening/carrying by the lid. However, one of the lids was broken upon receipt. When I opened the jar for the first time, I saw a white, styrofoam disc on top. I assumed it was just packing material and proceeded to remove it. Well, it broke into pieces and made a mess. When I finally removed the disc, I noticed that it was actually supposed to be encased and sealed inside the two-part twist lid. [The screw-top lid had separated and, while the handle top came off in my hand, the underside of it (where the rubber seal is) was still stuck in the mouth of the jar! There were also two, very thin, curled strips of plastic on the table with the torn styrofoam. I’m guessing THOSE were what was keeping the two pieces of the lid together? Dunno. Anyway, I let the lid’s pieces Krazy Glue overnight… They seemed ok until I re-capped and then unscrewed the lid again. Same thing. I will be reaching-out to the seller to see they’ll send me a replacement lid — update to follow.] I cannot speak to their abilities of keeping contents hot/cold or from leaking, as that is not why I bought them. I CAN, however, attest to the fact that they are NOT odor-proof! I got these to store ant killer dust in them because the original, cardboard container that it came it made my garage STINK horribly! Plus, I wanted two separate vessels in which to store that noxious stuff (garage and shed) so it would always be at the ready. Well, so much for the double-walled stainless steel, leak-proof/sweat-proof, vacuum insulation claims…I can STILL smell that nasty powder emanating from these jars! Knocking-off two stars: one for the lack of quality control, and another because “vacuum-insulated”, leak- and sweat-proof should also be odor-proof.

I LOVE this food jar. I’ve started making my coffee with a French press, and while the press keeps it warm for a little while, this container takes it to a whole different level. If I pour my second cup into it right after brewing, it stays piping hot for hours — I can come back later in the day and it’s still perfect. The lid seals tightly, and the handle makes it easy to carry, so I can toss it in the car without worrying about spills. The whole thing feels solid and well designed. Honestly, even if it cost twice as much, I’d still be saying it’s worth every penny.

It keeps drink and food warm or cold.

The main thing is the lid can be opened by a 7-y-o and she doesn't have to ask for help at school. Our last one required grip strength as the pressure changed as the food cooled off, so this is a big plus. Still need to preheat with boiling water, but then hot food stays warm till lunch. It's a single silicone gasket but it's unique in that it rides up the side rather than being a small ring. It rides down the neck and then has a flap like you'd find on exterior door insulation. The yetis have 2 gaskets and are just plain better but this is a really good item for a good price. The size is quite small, great for children but anyone with a larger appetite will use this for a snack or side dish. The paint peeled on the black one after a year of dishwasher, it's now just stainless steel.
