Howard Miller Kalvin Wall Clock – Wooden Finish, Charcoal Gray Bezel, White Dial, Arabic Numerals, Quartz Movement, Battery Operated

I ordered this clock for my son who had just moved into a new home. The appearance of the clock was the color and style he liked. Even though the clock is acrylic, the outer part looks like real wood. It is very attractive and the size of the clock makes it very easy to read the time. It is keeping time accurately and my son is very happy with it. After seeing it in person, I would order it again.

The Howard Miller Kalvin Wall Clock #625-418 is even more attractive in person than online photos. I've only had it less than a week, but so far it's keeping good time. The ticking is ever so slight - no bother at all. It looks gorgeous in our living room. I am impressed with the Howard Miller quality, and would definitely buy this brand of clock again.

I previously owned a Howard Miller clock & have used for 15 years. Bought this one when my old one could not keep accurate time anymore. I don’t like that it’s wood-looking but really plastic. The background color looks nice - off-white - and the numbers are easy to read on my living room wall. It does tick loud enough to hear if quietly reading, but with normal activity - TV viewing, listening to music, conversing - it’s not an issue. I like Howard Miller clocks!

My wife and I really like this clock. Although it has a quiet quartz movement, the second hand ticks as it moves around the clock face. The soft ticking sound is very relaxing.The ticking can only be heard when the room is very quiet (i.e. no talking or TV). It reminds me of my visits to grandma's. The clock in her kitchen quietly ticked to the smell of her kuchen and other delicious creations. The clock face is large enough to be easily seen from over 25 feet.

It has a slightly audible tick when you are very close to it. I put it in my living room where I don't hear it tick, but fear I would if it were in my bedroom when I was trying to fall asleep. This clock is both good looking and larger than most wall clocks. I found it while searching for atomic clocks, which it is not, so keep that in mind that if you don't want to reset it twice a year. Given its shortcomings, I think it is overpriced. I'm too lazy to send it back, but wish I hadn't bought it.,

Has the look and feel I like (for plastic). It is not cherry, it is plastic made to look like cherry. At $32 delivered, I think it is a nice addition to the wall. I think you would likely have to add $100 to get it with a cherry frame. Since you can't tell it is plastic I am okay with me keeping more of my loot in this case.

This is a very attractive clock. It seems to be quite well made, and It is a nice size - bigger than the norm, and the large numbers are very easy to see across the room. The band of brushed nickel-looking color really gives it a nice touch, and matches my new lights and fixtures. However, although the hour and minute hands appear to be black in the listing, they are actually also a brushed nickel-like color. At night, when the daylight is gone, the reflection of the electric lights renders the hands completely invisible from the normal viewing angle. So, at night I have to get up and look at the clock from a very side angle, or at the additional table clock I purchased because of this problem. I never had trouble seeing my old clock (that finally died!) which was hung on the wall in the same spot. I might also add that when we first set it up, the clock did not keep accurate time. It kept falling behind. My husband called the technical phone number, and the technician suggested he try a different battery (even though the one we had used was brand new). Please don't ask me why, but the clock has kept accurate time ever since with the second battery installed. It has been accurate for weeks!!!

Bonito e bem enquadrado. Um bocadinho barulhento. Só teve três estrelas porque chegou com a moldura partida (que tive de colar) e a devolução é muito complicada e paga.
