I am genuinely impressed with this scale. I make candles, so precise measurements are extremely important when I am weighing both wax and fragrance oil. This scale is wonderfully accurate and gives me very precise readings, even down to 0.1 oz. The display is another huge plus. It is large, bright, and very easy to see. I have limited vision, and the white backlight provides excellent contrast, which makes the numbers much easier for me to read. I also really appreciate the rubber feet on the bottom. They keep the scale securely in place while I am working, so I do not have to worry about it slipping or sliding across the counter. It does include a bowl, although you absolutely do not have to use it. I personally prefer using my own containers directly on the scale, so I rarely use the included bowl, but it is still a nice extra to have. The overall quality has really impressed me. It feels reliable, works beautifully for the precise measurements I need for candle making, and is very easy to use. I would absolutely purchase this scale again.

Very nice scale. Compact and accurate in several capacities. Just by pushing a button will change weight from ounces, to liquid, to grams, to metrics. Pretty color. Love that the bowl fits on scale upside down for storage. It makes weighing my frozen crops a breeze!

I cook from scratch and prep all of my food. Every day. I perfect and document my recipes by weight and not volume. Grams. I have used a handful of scales over time and I like this one. I am not nominating it for world's greatest scale or anything, but I find it to be dependable, convenient and about the right size for use and storage. This particular purchase is my second of this particular model. I bought the first in December, 2020. I bought the second, a replacement, in May of 2022. Pros: I find this model to be accurate and largely trouble free. It is the right size: Large enough to be convenient in use, small enough to squirrel away in a drawer. Batteries last for a long time (although I am not a fan of discount batteries). Okay, the cons/rants... 1. I don't appreciate the auto-off function. Let's explore this for a second. What is the purpose of the auto-off function? Is it to save battery life? Is this scale really pulling so much energy that you have to shut the thing down in two minutes??? While I am sidetracked or distracted with something else? Maybe I am prepping something while I am measuring. Maybe my phone rings in the middle of measuring flour. The scale should not run the kitchen! Can we compromise? How about five minutes prior to shut down? How about a way to disable the auto-off function? 2. In a perfect world, a scale would last longer than... how long did my first scale last? 17 months? The first scale started becoming unreliable--not inaccurate--and was making me nervous. (Yes, I changed the batteries. LOL.) -- The unit button didn't have the same feel over time, although I rarely used it in the first place because I almost always use grams. I speculate that, over time, ingredients found their way into the cracks of the button, but that is pure speculation. I am a borderline perfectionist and not a slob. A humble guy mislabeled as a curmudgeon because I dislike kitchen visitors who leave things in disarray. "Get out of my kitchen." The problem is not a result of abuse. -- The unit settings started to change on its own, causing me to reset it to grams more than it did early in the product's life. -- A couple of times, the scale shut off on its own, well before the two-minute cook's deadline, in the middle of my measuring, causing me problems. This is what prompted me to replace the first scale. The last straw. So, why would I buy the same product again? Well, you have to look at the factors involved, and I use the scale relentlessly, for everything related to meals. I weigh coffee beans for our coffee when I wake up. I keep using it, all the way until I, say, measure mayo, mustard, lemon juice and honey to make honey mustard dressing (the whole process takes less than a minute) as I wrap up dinner prep. And, yes, I use it to make the mayo, too. I even have a spare so that I don't have an emergency situation. So, the thing got a lot of use. Should I take the risk that someone else's scale might be better??? Or should I go with the the devil you know, so to speak? Meh... I think this scale is at least four stars. And while I have listed some cons, I kinda like the thing. Moderate "everyday" use in a typical household should be worry free... just don't leave that scale idle for two minutes!!! Grrr!!! LOL.

The color of this makes my heart happy, it has such a beautiful, metallic sheen! The platform is spacious and the display is bright and easy to read. The controls are intuitive and it has more weight types than just grams and ounces. It matched the readings of my older, smaller, scale but is more precise since it has 10th of a unit accuracy. The bowl is great! It fits securely on the platform and nests on top for compact storage to allow it to fit in the same drawer as my old one with minimal rearranging.

I really like this scale. I ordered it for kitchen use specifically weighing ingredients for baking. I love the bowl. The bowl is a good size and easy to transfer your baking ingredients into another bowl and continue using the scale for remaining ingredients. The scale is very easy to use. Very well built, looks nice and is of excellent quality. The scale is lightweight making it easy to move. I would for sure buy this again!!

ITEM: kitchen scale EK5250 Red Warranty: 2 yrs from order date (ignore the manual which can be downloaded from the Amazon description page). The up to date manual is in the shipping box. PROs: My older model (from Amazon, 2022-10) EK9000 kitchen scale had the same sized circular pan, and similar operation and similar sized number window. I'm pleased to say that the back lighting is much brighter in this new model and its numbers are much darker and easier to read. Both of my kitchen scales were packaged very well. The older model is still being used 4x/day. I made a working protection box from cardboard and duct tape for both scales. I suggest that users be careful NOT to grip these scales so that the pan is pressed, since the pan's orientation and connection to the digital sensor requires an absence of damage. I note that the only measurements I've seen which are questionable, resulted when the edge of the pan was inadvertently placed contacting something, i.e. against a pot/box/etc. Both scales work well with my rechargeable batteries. I use these scales for carbohydrate/calorie counting whenever I'm unsure of packaging information/serving size. I do not have any use for the plastic bowl that comes with the scale; I typically use a recycleable paper plate/cup on the pan. I also have a reusable plastic cup for cereal. CONs: Although these scales display weight with 1 decimal place, in practice repeatability is usually about +/- 1.5 grams. This repeatability is reasonable for this price and kitchen quality.

The scale is of very good quality stainless steel and it is very easy to use. I like the deep bowl which is very useful for weighing liquid and of course, there is the T button or tare resets which are extremely important.
