Rampur Double Cask

One of the best whiskies I have had. Great value for money. Beautiful after taste and well packed. Great gift for whisky connosieurs

I’ve brought my husband many of your obvious brand whiskeys and they all taste nice and are an okay gift. I brought Japanese once and that would have scored very low. However this whiskey he loved and so did I. The extra 5% strength and the flavour combined really stood out as something different. It actually lasted him twice as long too! He can drink a bottle of Bells or Grouse in 2-3 days. This satisfied his pallet more and he valued its flavour so treated this with respect as he drank it. For that reason, it’s top of our list for whiskey!

I came across this brand at a whisky festival and everyone who tried it was genuinely surprised because the taste is so unexpected. It’s whisky but it is light, smooth and decidedly fruity. It’s absolutely delicious.

I didn't really know what to expect with this whisky. I'd seen it on a YouTube video and it had been recommended. I thought I'd take a risk and give it a try. I was Not disappointed. This is a sweet whisky - like a highland or Speyside whisky. Not at all smoky like an Islay whisky (which is just as well as they're not to my personal taste). It's nose is stunning, and on the palate also. I generally like to add a very small drop of water to my whisky just to take the edge off, however this is the first whisky I've come across where the addition of water actively makes the taste less good. Not just a softer version of the original, but decidedly rather unpleasant. Unusual. So - this whisky will be drunk straight from the bottle as it were and I'm going enjoy every single drop.

Not great, I would not know this was really whiskey if I was given it in a a blind tasting,

I bought this after reading a review in The Times. I like heavier sweeter whisky, so this is very much to my taste. If you want something more on th peaty end of the spectrum this probably is not for you.

I have been drinking various top-end malts from India, Japan, Scotland and USA for years. Double cask Rampur ranks above everything else I’ve sampled. That’s why I’m buying another bottle… and will keep on buying this fine whiskey for its elegant smoothness, full- bodied, robust vanilla flavour, and fabulous bang for the cliche’d buck.

Sehr toller Whisky, entspricht meinen Erwartungen. Sehr angenehm mit einem tollen Geschmackserlebnis. Kaufe ihn gern hier wieder, wenn er demnächst im Angebot ist.

Whiskey is really good I like it. But the problem is I had to pay for the delivery fee and still it took days to get delivered. So one star less.
