Can the model be removed from the stand?

Yes, it can. The model is one whole piece and the plastic stand is another separate piece.

The wheels are very cheap plastic rings and they poorly attached. We returned this item due to the poor quality.

Can the cargo door lift up

No. The cargo door does not open.
