Excellent bit of kit.
I really like this multi tool. It feels good in the hand and is easy to use with plenty of features. Everything on this is solid and well made. The scissors are a great size, the pliers come with two sets of cutting edges and the changeable blade is a superb feature. Mine came with the tanto blade and it’s sharp enough to shave the hair on my arm. I have had a Leatherman Charge Ti for around 15 years or so and the Roxon compares very favourably, especially as it costs around a quarter of the current price of the Charge. The Roxon is slightly heavier and a fraction larger but this makes it more comfortable to use, although the Roxon doesn’t have quite as many tools as standard. It does, however, come with a sturdy pouch, I had to purchase the Leatherman pouch separately which adds to the cost.I have no idea how Roxon can sell this at such a reasonable cost but, for me, this is an absolute bargain.

A must have multitool, with add on extras
The Roxon S802 Phantom is a great multitool it not an expensive compaired to others on the market but have the choice of 11 different blades is a great idea also the oversized scissors are another great addition and all the tools on S802 have locked or need to be opened with a push button is a great feature this is a worthwhile looking at if you are in the market for a pocket multitool that also had additional extras that you can buy as and when you want and even then does not break the bank and for less than £50 you can buy all the additional blades it a good deal and they are all good quality blades you will be hard pressed to find a multitool with all the extras for £100 but have a look around for the additional extra blades it's one of those must have items if you collect multitools.

Great multi tool
Really impressed with this tool, very well made, loads of tools, has a bit kit included, blades for main knife are interchangeable (purchased separately) blade metal is pretty decent and very sharp out of the box, case is ok, i know there are much more expensive tools but the quality isnt worth the 4 or 5 times the price, and the level of engineering and new ideas in this knife is very impressive

Excellent multi-tool
As someone who carries a multi tool on his belt at all times I have always used a leatherman multitool but thought I'd give this a try due to the ability to change blades and the full size scissors, what was delivered was a high quality highly functional multi tool for a fraction of the price of my leatherman tools, very impressive bit of kit. Highly recommended. Keep up the good work Roxon.

Why not try it?
It's not a Leatherman Surge. It's not a heavy duty monster. It's a funny shape. But as an around the house utility tool it's rather good. And fun. I like it when there are tools that are enjoyable to use and this is one of those. It's fun changing the blade and it can take Stanley blades with the right holder. So you can cut anything from stencil making with fine cardboard to cutting bits of supports for your pot plants. You can damage the blade and then chuck it. I think the replaceable has to be purchased separately. I have used this more that I expected and all the tools, whilst not the highest precision, work. Buy it, you'll enjoy it.

Comparison - Roxon S801S Storm/Strom versus S802 Phantom
If, like me, you're looking for a pliers-type multitool with an actually decent pair of scissors, Roxon are the only game in town. I needed a replacement for a stolen Leatherman Wave, so I decided to order both and do a little comparison.First up, the 801S is an improved version of the original, so some issues you may find in earlier reviews have been fixed. For example, the saw blade has been given a locking mechanism, and the position of the can opener has been moved for a better action.Overall they are both reassuringly solid, well-built tools. Both are quite large, but the 802 is a little bulkier. Ignore the stated weight; the 801 weighs 312g without case (though the screwdriver bits will add a little) and the 802s weighs 302g. The later 802 has a slightly nicer and smoother action, and looks/feels a little more refined, but there's little difference once you get used to them.In terms of tools, the 801 is just better equipped. I find the file, cord cutter, bottle opener and adaptable screwdriver bit much more useful than the chisel and very flat Philips driver on the 802. The corkscrew is a bit of a waste of space since most wines nowadays are screw-tops, but I would pick up a Victorinox mini screwdriver (£3-5 on ebay) to store in it.The 802's swappable blade system works well, but the designers made a lot of sacrifices for it. The default blade is larger than the 801, and I found the 'tanto' design quite hard to control for precision cutting due to the weight of the tool. I picked up the 3-blade pack for £20 with the Stanley craft knife attachment, which is very clever and works well, although it does stick out from the tool and interferes slightly with the pliers action. If I were keeping the 802 (spoiler alert) I would probably swap between the craft knife and flat blade that also came with the pack, and never use the tanto again. One spare blade case will fit - just - in the knife sheath, much like the screwdriver bits on the 801.Finally, the scissors on both are very good for light to medium use, and cut fabric and cardboard cleanly. A slight edge goes to the 802 for a better action and lockable handle, and because a few 801 owners have reported the metal catch on the scissor action can snap off if used heavily. In conclusion, hope that was useful to you if you're weighing up the 801 and 802. I ultimately chose to go with the 801 for the slightly better price and the greater range of tools it offers, but both are good kit and well worth the price.
