Bandai Hobby - Gundam Unicorn - Unicorn Gundam (Ver. Ka), Bandai Spirits MGEX Model Kit

This kit has been my holy grail for years, pretty much since it was originally released. It’s pricey, but it shows in the build. This is easily the best Unicorn mold that exists, and is vastly different from the other MG Unicorns. Tons of extras (weapons, MS Cage, etc), tons of decals, and when it’s all done and you finally light it up… nothing else like it. I would definitely only recommend this kit to experienced builders as the LED strip can be quite delicate and you need to follow the instructions to a T.

There re alot of little parts to try and peice together and the added difficulty or trying to assemble the peices on the areas while insuring you don't pinch the led strip is a challenge but when completed.... its amazing. It comes with a stand for the ms and the Shields and there's not much in the way of actual wiring. Just connectors, I took my time and patients are required, but again totally worth it, tons of gimmicks and the leds shine through brightttt, now the head and torso transformations are tedious and you do have the possibility of popping it apart if not careful

I don't know what the stars for "sheerness" mean, but I assume it means detail or mold quality. Anyway, I used to think that the MGEX was overpriced and stayed away from it, but after caving in ... It's not. First, the things that are improved over other "Unicorn" kits: Elvis hips, fixed. Destroy mode doesn't mean the kit shakes it's hips and falls off of you look at it wrong. Being a Ver Ka, it comes with Waterslides, of which there are many (but who spends $250 on a kit to NOT do it correctly). The legs have been reworked so a full bend required unlocking a couple parts. The whole kit is built around the LED ribbon and will require some added patience. One you understand the ribbon layout, it's pretty simple. The tedium level is about half that of the FA Unicorn ver Ka... Except you get six gatling beam cannons. The downside is that if you pose in the cage, the cage doesn't have a place to put the cannons, only the beam rifle, saber blades, and the bazooka.

This kit is very strong and has amazing articulation and the black pieces make for great panel line effects without having to actually panel line. The LED really makes this one of my all time favorite kits. Building the kit around the LED sheet is challenging and recommended for experienced builders, but it is one of the most fun and rewarding kits I've ever built. It comes with a lot of accessories and is a must have for Unicorn fans. It's definitely worth the price with all it comes with and it's difficulty level.

Its an amazing kit, super long to assemble if you dont have too much time on your hands and glows so freaking bright! Its a beauty, i painted mine a bit so itll look different but i do recomend, has a lot of cables but a little pully mechanism that helps deal with it and its comes with water decals i did not put on it for i lack enough skill but they are included! Well worth every penny!

Pretty cool looking figure, albeit a bit complicated with the moving parts to show off the lights. The LED strip makes initial assembly a hassle, but once it's secured it's not too bad. I think it's a cool set and fun to build but can't justify the price, the only thing that's sets it apart from the 60$ kits you can get anywhere, is the included lighting and stand.

I got this for my boyfriends birthday and he LOVES IT 😊❤️ He finished building it in 3 days 😂 The LED’s weren’t working at first but after a while they started to come on and it looks awesome!

This is a great model love it so much.

Bought for my husband. This was his dream Gundam build. He was very careful and took his time. It proved difficult when he was building the torso and he accidentally tore the delicate LED strip. It was a very sad day for him, but he built it to completion. Still a very nice figure, but doesn't fully light up like it should. These kits should come with extra LED strips, as I have heard that he is not the only one this has happened to. Very common occurrence. So I'm writing this review for future purchasers to be oh-so-careful when building this beautiful and expensive figure! Good luck!

Extreme beautiful!
