This is easily the best deal I've ever scored on Amazon. The price for this renewed item was 1/3 of a new model. The condition is immaculate. It was listed as "Excellent," and that was not a lie. Not a scratch I could find anywhere facing me. There was one ding on the bottom that I barely noticed. Screen? Perfect. Keyboard? Perfect. Setup took 5 minutes. i3/8GB/64GB. Seems paltry, but it's all you really need. Amazing what a ridiculous beast Windows units are after using a good Chromebook. I do have a 512GB micro SD card I keep installed, but I don't even use it. It syncs with free Google Drive automatically. The touchscreen is responsive and has no dead spots or washout zones. The size is perfect for what I need. Fits great in the lap, doesn't get too warm, the battery life claims 11 hours left and I have no doubt it will make it. It's not a cheap design. This is a premium, durable Chromebook, even if it didn't get the AI Plus whatever branding. Fingerprint sensor for 2FA? Check (no mandatory PINs after setup). Backlit keyboard? Check. I have one of these already, purchased new, and I can't live without it. I don't really need a new one, but for under $200 I will absolutely keep a spare for travel. It does everything: docs, spreadsheets, gaming (light - Final Fantasy 7 tested). Without the drag of Windows OS, nothing handles web browsing faster than a Chromebook. Even with just 8gb of RAM, page loads are instantaneous. YouTube? Flawless. Netflix? Flawless. In fact, I would go so far as to say that unless you do serious video editing, have some arcane program that only runs on Windows or MAC, or you are a Gaming Ninja, this will beat ANY Windows/Apple system for general speed. It updates everytime you turn it on, and it takes 5 minutes, tops. It's usually more like a minute. Your browser is Chrome, and no other browser is as easy to sync between phone, Chromebook, and a PC. Seriously, check out the specs of the new Chromebook Plus models and then come back and grab this model, while you can.

This is a fabulous chromebook. As one product reviewer wrote " HP got this chromebook (HP x360 model 14c-ca0053dx) nearly perfect.". I absolutely love it. This one is built solid and has all the features I wanted. Some examples of what I like include: Nice gorilla glass screen with very minimal bezel Runs Linux apps Runs Android apps Type c connectors 2ea Standard USB 1ea Built in camera for video apps Chrome OS is fast SD card Slot - I use 128GB card Beautiful screen graphics & a touch screen Charges fast Headphone jack Battery life I'd say is typical of what you see from any of these machines. It really depends on what you are doing. Simple browsing, typing, reading it seems to last most of the day. If you do heavy video work, you can run it down pretty fast, like 5-6 hours. The battery life is going to vary proportional to the type and amount of work you do on the machine. I'd say this chromebook can hold its own with the best of them Outstanding backlit keyboard which flips all the way back behind the display for tablet mode. In tablet mode it supports all the finger gestures my old reader tablet supports Its thin and light compared to the really old laptop I was using. Google support until 2028 Integrates very well with my Google Pixel 3 phone I could go on and on. Great job HP and Google too! This one will last me a very long time. The downside, well not really... I found the touchpad to be sometimes just a little sluggish as far as responsiveness. That is to say sometimes it doesn't recognize my finger touch the first time. This is not a big deal for me and I can live with it, as it happens only occasionally. The touchpad gestured are really great. My other item is just a suggestion for HP. I purchased the 64GB memory option, which I'd recommend as minimal if you plan to use Linux and Android apps like I do. My suggestion would be that HP would make a 128GB option available, although the 64 GB has not been an issue for me yet. I am already using half of it. So my plan for this terrific machine was to replace my old android Samsung reader tablet with something more robust. This thing is so robust that it also replaces my old laptop that ran Ubuntu linux too. I like linux because its fast and has a ton of open source apps to rival anything windows can do. Well, the chromebook runs all the linux apps I need, and I can still play around in linux using the terminal command line interface. I also get the chrome apps, which are okay by comparison, and all the great apps in the Google play store. More importantly the chrome browser is fast, as is access to all the online Google stuff like GMail, calendar, Drive, docs... The online web experience is wonderful. I give this HP x369 an AAA++ rating in my book. I love it - best decision I could have made. I'll stop now 😀

OK so this is my positive/ negative list after a month of heavy use: Positives: -Starts up in <5s (Not unique to this Chromebook) -It feels and looks so damn premium, cold to touch, very stiff frame. Some people complain about it being too heavy; it makes it feel more premium to me. -The 10th gen i3 is more than enough for me; I generally have 10+ tabs open; many chrome extensions; Android app music streaming constantly without a stutter to date (Caveat: I am not a gamer) -Touchscreen is awesome; like really; it looks amazing and acts as a state of the art touchscreen should -Speakers do the job (Friends are impressed with the Bang & Olufson logo); I primarily use headphones anyway. -Can charge via USB-C from either side! -The hinge is solid -USB-B port for my wireless mouse (with a very premium looking "hide the USB slot" mechanism when not in use -Able to manually disconnect the webcam with a quaint little slider on the left side -The trackpad is large, nice and clickey, cool to touch, glass. -DID I MENTION THE BACKLIT KEYBOARD OMW -Fingerprint reader, I almost forgot about you Negatives: -64gb internal storage is making a statement; I would have been completely satisfied with a 256gb SSD. However the microSD slot supports up to 512gb so... I'm ok with it. -Viewing angles in portrait mode hurts my eyes especially with minor tilting movements -Screen brightness is juuuuust enough for well lit indoor use; outdoor not so much. My iPad 7 on max brightness looks like a holy figure next to this screen. The screen can go super dark though (much darker than my iPad) live with -Camera quality not the best; but at this price tag; it's more than enough -Structural anomaly on the left side of my laptop where back panel pops out just a little bit; have to pop it back; no functional compromise as far as I can see. Again, at this price this built in "bubble wrap feature" is something I can live with

I waited for this, because it really is incredibly gorgeous (even sexy) solid, feels good, has a perfect weight and a magnet at the front, so you need a little effort to open it, the screen stays where ever you want it to be, it's nice and tight. I've never figured out the fingerprint. You still have to login with your password. The screen is gorgeous, I could never live without backlit, now that I have it. But I have a lot of trouble with Prime Video. I bought 147 videos on Prime, but have a lot of trouble downloading them, I left a review and hopefully that will get fixed. It used to work fine, it's all the updates that caused the problem. But I absolutely LOVE the Chromebook and the way the HP is somewhat artistic, it's 4 vertical lines without horizontal lines, you know it's HP and the lines are kind of chrome like, the color of the laptop is a wonderful grey "Mineral Silver" with darker keys. Even when I have a little trouble with it, I still LOVE IT. Highly recommended, if you love beautifully designed things! The volume could be a little higher, but I use ear plugs, so that doesn't really matter. It's absolutely Stunning!!

The touchpad works strangely. There is no confidence in the positioning. When touched, it emits a rattling sound. The screen lacks brightness at the maximum setting. Beautiful sound. But the biggest disadvantage is the poor Chrome OS. The last time I watched it was two years ago, and during this time, the progress is minimal. I bought it for my daughter of 6 years, this system is not suitable for more. Even taking into account the Linux container. And believe me, I know what I'm talking about. I work freely in all 3 systems and call Chrome OS 4 «System», the language does not turn. This is a set of compromises and crutches. If you need a laptop with exceptional browser functionality, this is the ideal option. But no more. A terribly non-functional system. UPD: super terrible and not clear in position touch pad :((((( ~~~UPD~~~: You can get used to a terribly inaccurate touchpad somehow. In general, if your work is really only on the Internet, then this is a very good friend when traveling, at home and in the office. The card reader is quite slow, this should be taken into account. I'll still give it 5 stars. The fact is that I can be biased because all my life I work for full-fledged computers and laptops with a normal Linux or OSX system and I got used to it. But there are many people who are satisfied with the browser and this is a really great solution for them.

I have been a Windows laptop user forever. I have recently gotten tired of how slow the laptop has become and the frequent (agonizingly slow) reboots for updates. My concern has been that some applications, such as Quicken, Turbotax, etc. would not run on a Chromebook. I have arrived at the perfect solution. With this HP Chromebook, I am able to use a remote desktop to connect to my Windows laptop to run the applications I need. I put my Windows laptop into hibernate mode and use WOL (Wake on Lan) feature to wake it up when needed. The FHD screen resolution gives me the perfect capability for a remote desktop. Most of my Chromebook use is for web browsing, email, social media, spreadsheets, photo galleries, and some document editing, and, of course, remote desktop. The Chromebook performs very well for all these tasks with almost no delay and is much better than the Windows laptop. A big bonus also is being able to install any Android app, which I usually use on my phone. This Chromebook is a bit pricey but well worth it for me. If you don't care about the touch screen or the ability to use tablet mode, you can probably save $200 on a lower cost Chromebook. However, do not compromise on system memory or storage.

I am happy with my purchase. My Chrome 360 cracked somehow and I was overdue for another laptop. The clarity is much better than the other laptop. I like the light up keys. Setup was smooth. Good battery life. It is doing what I need. So far so good. I am a satisfied customer.

If you're looking for an inexpensive computer that does it all. This is it. I did alot of research before purchasing. I've had it for a few weeks now. So far, I am very pleased. Literally everything is easy on this computer, including set up. The speakers give quality sound. The screen is excellent and not as dim as I was originally lead to believe. The battery lasts all day. It has 8gb ram so I can video edit when I am ready. You don't have to remember any of your passwords because Google Chrome does it for you. Downsides: when u flip the screen all the way around for tablet mode, the speakers become muffled because they are on the keyboard on the other side. So far, no one has made a protective case for it or a keyboard cover to fit it. The keyboard is a little bit weird because it has a search button instead of caps lock. And the whole screen button doesn't actually make your videos go full screen. It just enlarges the window all the way. It is an overall high quality product that I am very glad I purchased and look forward to much productivity.

Also has Linux which allows you to step outside the Chrome OS. I use it for my little business, takes a little getting used to after using Windows for so long.
