Not a good fit for a 2018 Hyundai Elantra SEL
I canโt rate this wheel lock badly for not fitting my vehicle, itโs a nice heavy and solid unit, attractive, and well made, but, I wanted to save someone else a headache. I watched every video on the web and read all the directions I could find and no matter where/ which way I fastened this thing to my last carโs steering wheel, it would still turn too far to consider it locked and secure, which was unfortunate because I liked the look of this one. The problem was that the area on my dashboard above my speedometer etc was elevated more than the rest of the dash but not enough for this unit to work. It works well on a dash that is even across the top as well as one that has a more elevated โbumpโ. Thereโs a video on YouTube that shows if you lock it in place at the lowest spot on the dash right next to the elevated area (if that area is high enough) it will stay in place. In my Hyundai it wouldnโt lock tight enough to keep it from sliding over the top of that bump, so, my wheel would still turn from approximately 10 0โclock - 2 0โclock.

Better than expected!!
I've already bought 4, for different cars and it fits very well (a Takoma, Nissan Rogue, Rav4, and Infiniti sedan. It is heavy but easy to handle and install. I recommend it 1,000 times!

Nice idea if everything in your car is positioned just so...
Ok, I have to start by saying that I REALLY wanted to like this lock. For the most part, I do. And here's the but... In order for this to work, your steering wheel has to be fairly close to the dash when fully extended and the dash needs to be fairly flat. In a Mazda CX-5, the steering wheel pulls out a fair distance from the dash. T Ok, for starters, one reviewer said to insall this with the steering wheel dropped to its lowest position. If you do that, then all the theif has to do is raise the steering wheel and the bar lifts up off of the dash giving a fair amount of play. he arch of the instrument cluster makes it worse. As you can see in the picture, the wheel rotates and actually if I really push it, can clear the lcd. To install it in the CX-5, I have to pull the steering wheel out and all the way up, close the latch, and then push the steering wheel back in so that the tension on the horn is a hair trigger away from sounding. Even then, pulling the steering wheel back out leaves plenty of play room. I will say that in every attempt I made to force it past the edges of the dash, it did make the horn sound at least once. Turning the wheel to the left was possible but I had to really pull on it to clear the corner and the horn sounded. Points for that. I think if my dash were flat, adjusting the screw to lock the angle of the horn cover would allow it to be more securely installed. As for that screw: It's a nice idea but if you have an hex wrench, you can loosen the lock. That screw should really be inaccessable when locked. It's nice looking. I'll give it that but I'm torn. I'm not sure a steering wheel lock should be nice looking. I think it should be really noticeable. The reality is that, even the mighty Disklock is easily removed by a pro with the right tools and a few seconds of time. So the use of these locks is to deter the casual thief. So high visibility is key. You want the lock to be seen. Anyone who isn't deterred by the lock is not going to really care if it's there. This lock is kind of classy looking. It's also easy to miss. Let's face it. If a lock looks crappy, you're not going to be in your car to look at it. The advantage here is the lock looks classy sitting on the floor of your car when it's not in use. Its construction is mostly ok. I can nitpick about the stitch lines being off center or crooked but the only issue is the ratchet slots of the lock aren't uniform and the last one is slightly thicker than the rest. I have to lock it in that spot and it's very hard to get it to go that last click. Once click less and it's really loose. The clicks need to be closer together but my guess is that would compromise its strength. So all i all, if it worked perfectly with my car, then I'd give it a 4-4.5. For me, it doesn't work well although I will continue to use it. As I said, I really want to like it. It deserves better than a 3 so I'll go with 4.

Good device
The device is easy to use and stores more easily than the longer steering wheel locks. Very happy so far.

Perfect little added security
In a world where thieves can now hijack your key fob frequency and drive off without even breaking a window, this little device gives me a whole lot of piece of mind. It's in plain view where as the club could be missed by a thief who may get into your car only to find they can't drive it away. What do they do then? They take whatever they can from inside. This deters would be thieves; is well designed and sturdy and it still fits in my Kia Soul's glove compartment. It may be too big to fit in yours though.

BAD Experience -- 10 day without CAR, and additional 70 dollars in LOCKSMITH
I bought this product on January 20, 2020. The first time I installed it in my car, I could no longer remove it with the key, the internal cylinder stopped turning, it was surely a manufacturing defect. I contacted the seller since January 26, I asked for guidance or a procedure on how to remove it. Finally his last idea was to put lubricant on it, as this did not work, his suggestion was to call a locksmith. so I called the locksmith to remove it, and I sent the following message to the Seller last February 5, 2020 ......... "Ok, I understood, after the lubricant did not work, neither the seller nor the manufacturer have a procedure to remove it, ... I followed the last recommendation, get a locksmith ... So I did it, the locksmith made a special home service, he already tried to open the cylinder, it was impossible, then the last option was to cut one of its hooks very carefully to avoid damaging the steering wheel ... finally my car is free again ..... I am already preparing the return to Amazon of this defective product ..... MY QUESTION FOR YOU .... Who will pay the additional cost that caused me a NEW, but defective product .... I am not considering the 10 days I could not use my car ... Only the locksmith service, this cost me 70 dollars (I really got a very cheap service) .... Who will reimburse me for this payment? Seller or Amazon? .... I am looking forward to your respo nse ".......... unfortunately Today March 10, 2020, SELLER HAS NOT ANSWERED >>>> NO LIABILITY, NO PROFESSIONALISM

great product
I sleep better with this on , plus the club also... plus a tin can on a string hooked to the bumper and rolled under the van plus a camera and street light next to the drive....sometimes I cover pillows with blankets to make it look like someone sleeping in it....I put a wig on the pillow....anyway this device is heavy duty and easy to put on and off...its worth the money.. the flat part that you see in front of the picture goes over the horn then you put the round part in the back of the picture on the dashboard then you just close the hooks . very...simple...they would blow the horn if they sawed this off ....lock is very sturdy....sturdy keys also

Ease of use peace of mind.. strong built
The product is well made and heavy.. easy to use and autolocks once you leave it on steering wheel and gracefully comes out.. also easy to keep on side door.. only thing which I m not sure is how secure is the lock n how easily it can be pricked.. no clue or idea around it.. however when there are 10 options for there and if mine has lock.. I m assuming mine will be left out from jackers options..

Love it!!!
This lock is solid and very easy to use; I can take it off and put it back on in just seconds. When it is in place, my steering wheel is locked and secure.... It looks nice, too.
