The taste is awful to me at least, but this product has lots of benefits, and can use it in various ways, so I would highly recommend to have it and consume it every day. It is organic, so obviously it is not harmful.

Amla (Indian gooseberry) is a superfood that's loaded with health benefits. By weight, amla contains eight times more vitamin C than orange does. It has twice the antioxidant power of acai berry, and 17 times that of pomegranate. Amla improves eyesight (thanks largely to the high carotene content), curbs hunger cravings, enhances fat-burning, boosts health and immunity, and contributes to healthy hair, skin and nails. I've been buying amla for years and using it externally (mixed into a paste with water and bhringraj) to nourish my scalp and hair. The results have been phenomenal. GoodFarm's amla powder is certified organic, so plus points for purity. I add it to smoothies as well as making hair paste with it. The flavour is - like that of most berries - tart bordering on sour. If you don't like the tart taste but do want to gain the health benefits of amla, blend the powder with apple juice or orange juice, which contain enough natural fruit sugars to neutralise the amla's sourness. A pure, perfect product. Excellent value for money. Five stars without any hesitation.

As an ibs suffered i heard many benefits of amla powder which i was eager to try been taking it for a few days i have to say it has helped eased my digestive issues such as ibs pains, heartburns and acid reflux which i use to suffer daily. I am keen to try it our for a few more weeks to give a better review. All in all it is organic and a great size which should last for a while. Amla contains anti-inflammatory properties, therefore dried Amla powder can be used to cure hyperacidity and prevent stomach ulcers.

A 500g pack. Not especially nice to the taste. The bag does not reseal very well. Expensive. It does have a long tradition of health benefits.

I could copy-paste some amla facts here and bore you with ideas and recipes, but there are plenty of other reviewers doing that already. Personally, I put these in smoothies, plain almond yogurt, and sometimes my morning oat/rice porridge, too. The price is good - it may seem a lot depending on which size you are going for, but you actually only need a little at a time, so the 500g pack I got will last me a good while. The taste is as expected - natural amla flavour, no bad aftertaste, and this doesn't have any stupid, unnecessary ingredients thrown in. GoodFarm is a great company, so I'm always looking forward to trying new things from them and I'd highly recommend everyone else to give any of their products a try! (Keep in mind the allergen warnings before purchase, though, just in case!) Well, it's what it is. I really can't say much more than it's a well-deserved 5*.

This organic Amla powder, also known as Indian Gooseberry, was not something that I had come across before, so I did a bit of research. It seems it is an Ayuverdic superfood that is a natural source of vitamin C and is highly beneficial for the immune system, something we could all do with right now. I was also interested to read about how it works to reduce bad cholesterol, is anti-inflammatory, acts an an anti-oxidant and improves the function of the digestive system. People also use it to make a paste for a face mask to improve the skin and as a hair mask for shiny hair. Wow! It can be mixed into fruit juice or a smoothie or even porridge, add a bit of honey if you are not keen on the taste, although I find it perfectly pleasant and quite subtle in flavour. This is a large bag that will last a very long time. it is organic and vegan which is great as is the fact that the resealable pouch is recyclable. I will probably decant the contents into a glass jar as the seal on the pouch can be tricky to close properly. With all the benefits I will be continuing to take this daily, starting off with about a third of a teaspoon. a great product.

I'm a newcomer to the whole smoothie thing. My whole life has been spent in avoidance of eating fruit and veg. My diet has been appalling and nearing 50 has pushed me into trying to improve upon this without having to eat disgusting veg. Yep I hate most veg. If I don't hate it, I can abide it but choose to not eat these things because I don't like them. Most fruits I do like but I'm allergic to the extent of itchy to burning mouth if I do eat them. . . So I don't. Smoothies allow me to get these good things into my system and I saw this product as another smoothie ingredient. As such it gets thrown in with all sorts of other flavours to the point it's not noticeable. As I've not been taking it long term, I can only assume health benefits and not yet report on them. To be honest there's not much else I can say. I now know that Amla is an Indian gooseberry. The pack is good and large enough to last ages. I did have slight trouble getting the resealing strip to seal but it did. These superfood additives are new to me and I have no experience on which to base any comparison with others so that's all I can tell you.

A very good amount for the price. Dense and heavy. I can't personally comment on the taste as I plan to use this product as a hair mask, it's also not as green as other comments would lead you to believe.

Lo he utilizado en el cabello mezclado con henna y cassia, y la verdad es que es muy efectivo para fortalecer y hacer crecer el cabello. Para consumir tiene un sabor que no suele gustar a todo el mundo, tiene ese toque de acidez de los frutos rojos. Es cuestión de gustos para mezclarla como alimento. Yo se la echo al café.
