Will they work on hi fi system

They should work on a hi fi system. I use mine to listen to CDs on my music centre.

Dose the microphone work

Yes, I have been using these for video conferencing and phone calls whilst working from home.

Do these have an active noise cancelling feature, or do they just block noise by having big headphone pieces?

These are 90% noise cancelling headphones, which reduces ambient sounds.

Not with the headphones, but using your device. There are no ‘controls’ on the headphones, only a sturdy lead and a microphone.
