I bought these to peel eggplants. And they work great. The big one is easier to use in an up and down motion instead of sideways like the other one. I tried it on an eggplant and it works great. I'm sure it will work with oranges, apples, and many other fruits and veggies. This is not plastic. It is heavy duty metal meant to last a long time. I would buy it again.

Sharp blade and handle is well shaped and has good heft. Not cheap or flimsy nor overpriced and awkward like others I have owned .

Handles are nice and they are fairly sharp, but blades are extremely loose and can make peeling difficult. Good for the price
