Works As Advertised!
The microphone is pretty solid and works as you'd expect it. In the box, you get the mic itself along with a tripod sort of stand to keep it on. It screws in with no problem. The lowest height is probably like 6 inches approximately. It has a cable (one end is like the printer cable) and the other end is a USB-A that you connect to your computer for.The mic has a volume knob on the top to control how loud you want the amplification to be. I tested this on the lowest setting followed by the highest. There isn't as big of a difference as you might expect, but the volume is loud enough. For my purposes, I use it for work calls so it sits between my monitors about 1-1.5 ft away from me usually. No one has complained about my voice not being clear and from the recordings I've done, it sounds good. I wouldn't say this is anywhere near studio quality, but it would probably work if you're just doing live streaming on YouTube or IG.I have audio that plays from my monitor, and my biggest concern was that the mic would pick that feedback up. To my surprise, it doesn't do that at all, which is pretty great. It does a good job isolating my voice and focusing on that. It does catch me typing on keyboards though (which, to be fair, is pretty loud).Overall, it's a simple plug and play and is definitely an improvement over the built-in-mics in laptops. And with companies having a lot of remote work these days, I'd highly recommend this!

A Good Mic for the Price
I was looking for an inexpensive mic to replace my Snowball Blue and I was really hoping for one with a mute button. Some reviews mentioned a mute button on this mic, but it does not have one. Only a volume knob which can be turned down to mute the sound – which isn’t quite the same thing but it does work. The sound quality is quite good, less boomy and more natural than my Snowball Blue. People with whom I’ve tested the mic tell me it sounds very good with no background noise (I was in a quiet room) or echo. The build quality seems pretty good and I really like that I can take it off of the tripod and hang it in front of my monitor to keep my desktop clean. It has a 1/4" 20, threaded sleeve so it can easily connect to lots of standard photo/video/sound equipment for mounting options. A good choice for the money.

Needed a good mic for video voiceovers
I work with several non-profits creating videos for their events. Often I need voiceover narration, and my old mic finally bit the dust. I purchased this mic mainly for this purpose and the sound quality is great. The mic also seems heavy and well-built. My previous mic was on a flimsy and mostly plastic. This mic itself has metal components and seems like it will last. The tripod stand is plastic, but not a big deal and strong enough to support the unit. One issue was I did find my connection was a little tight when trying to attach the cable and I was concerned, but finally with a little force it did push in. And in my experience it is much better to have a tight connection which will not come loose, than a loose one where the sound input is iffy. I am using the mic with a windows computer and the set-up did take a little while to auto-install the driver, but the instructions also mentioned that. After install, at first the mic did not show up in the list of devices but I noticed the 'mic' and 'line-in' were unchecked and set to 0. I clicked both and then the mic showed up fine and I was ready to record (see my screen grab). Sound quality of this mic is rich. It is really great. Overall this appears to be a solidly built mic, with solid sound quality. I look forward to seeing how it works in other situations.

A NO GO FOR ME ......
STOP BEFORE YOU BUY.To use this USB microphone, I had to purchase an Adapter for my cell. An ADDED $10. Now mind you, I have spent near $30 for this device & I purchased TWO at the same time and the results are identical.1. There is no light indicator on the micro to inform you rather it is on or off.2. Cut it down and it is off. Cut it up a little to a lot and it remains the same volume.3. The mini table tripod is a splitting, wobbly joke. It will not stand higher than4 inches off the counter because the legs do not tighten up despite there being a way that should allow it.What can I promise is good about these devices? Let me count this 1 fact.1. You get what you pay for. So before you waste $20, splurge on a name brand. It is up to you. I lost out. Best of luck.

Simple setup out of box & plug and play for PC users
I love this mic! I needed a new mic and I chose this mic because it was a good price and it had a very professional look. The mic itself is a little heavy due to the varnished metal shell. All I had to do was attach it to the tripod and plug the cord into the base of the mic (a "printer jack") and the other end of the USB cable into the USB port on my laptop. My laptop or Widows 10 system looked for the microphone driver automatically and installed it, and I just selected the webcam app I wanted to use, and set the USB mic as the input device, tested the mic, and was ready to go. The mic recording has a very clear, condensed sound, cutting out a lot of background noises/sound, which was exactly what I was looking for. It should be noted that the mic pickup is on the side where the volume knob is so this is the side that should be facing the input voice/speaker. The tripod that came with it is plastic, but I will just buy a bigger mic arm to attach to my media table. It does not come with a pop/spit filter but I usually don't use one. This is a very nice and user-friendly product with excellent sound/voice recording. I recommend for Vloggers, YouTube, and all meeting apps (Google Meet, Zoom, Cisco, etc.). Great price and great quality for quick setup, especially if you are on the go.
