cellent Palette for Mixing Colors The Jack Richeson Grey Matters Paper Palette has quickly become a very useful addition to my painting supplies. The 12 x 16-inch size gives me plenty of room to mix colors without feeling cramped, and having 50 sheets means I can use a fresh palette whenever I need one.

The Grey Matters Paper Palette is much better than a pad of less expensive white paper I had been using with my water mixable oil paints. I use it line a pan in a small pochade box. The grey is a mid value and helps assess color mixes quite well. Highly recommend.

Exactly as advertised! I teach private lessons and use the too for reference with students. The waxy top layer of the paper is flawless and the neutral gray is very good. No mediums will absorb.

just what I needed

I was initially hesitant to buy this because other reviews said that the paper was too thin, but it has a protective layer on top that prevents paint from soaking into it, it does not rip (it has never felt even close to ripping), and it works perfectly as a nice surface for paints. It's much nicer than having to clean a palette every time you use it or having to use paper plates for your paint. I put it in a 12x16" container that you can seal to preserve paints, and the paper doesn't move around at all when it's in the little 12x16" bin.

Great disposable palette sheets that fit my tray. Nice to be able to dispose of them and start each time with a fresh palette.

I am happy with the size and effectiveness in mixing and positioning paint on this palette.

I was looking for a mid value grey palette paper and thought I would give this a try. I was surprised at how well it worked. I was skeptical when I first used it as the paper is thinner than I would have expected, but the coating on it is great. My paint did not bleed through and it doesn't stick to the surface as much as cheap brands. I sometimes use Liquin original in my oil paints, and the dried portions will lift off the paper. Because of the quality of this paper, I'm getting about 2-3 times the usage that I normally got from cheap dollar store brands of palette paper. The inside cover also has a nice value chart and color wheel reference with some other info, which is handy for those who use it.

grey palettes are really useful when mixing colors however this may be more suitable for oils. The paper curls in when stored in a stay wet palette or a box designed to keep acrylic paint fresh. This makes it more difficult to work with when using acrylic paint.

Très belle palette jetable. Pratique. Feuillets légers et imperméables. Un super format. Un peu cher à l achat certes mais je ne regrette absolument pas tellement que la qualité est belle.
