Works great for my NAS
I'm using this paired with a Ryzen 5 3600 as a NAS. It has 6 SATA for drives, so it's great to start without needing an expansion card. Installation was quite easy and it performed well out of the box.

Good solid board, but be careful if wanting to use modern CPUs.
This I a very solid board with some good features in it. It assembled quickly and easily in the case, ready to install boss and software. Then the challenges began. I have a Ryzen 5 5600X running in the computer. Unfortunately the board did not work at all with it due to bios reasons. To get around this, I needed access to a 3000 series CPU to install bios 1.7. I was very fortunate to have a friend who had a lovely time trying to get this board working with the CPU I had bought. It took a while. He had access to different CPUs to get the job done. Whilst a reasonable basic board, the conclusion was a bit frustrating about set up. So if you are planning on putting a modern CPU in, I would look elsewhere at other boards.

Received motherboard with almost dead CMOS battery!!
I have built a whole new PC from the scratch and found myself having troubles starting the PC - mainly keyboard, mouse wouldn't start at all or after hibernating they got completely switched off (shouldn't happen as you should be able to wake the PC up after pressing Esc button). Quite often PC started and monitor kept showing No Signal. It was all because of dead CMOS battery - and that's after literally after a week or 2 from receiving apparently a "brand new" motherboard!

Solid, but could be better
As far as the B550 Pro 4 goes, it's a solid motherboard and serves its purpose as a decent foundation for a low to mid tier gaming PC build. I am currently running a Ryzen 7 3800XT CPU on this board and it doesn't seem to be held back or hampered on performance by the board itself. However, as other reviewers have said, the software and ASRock's software (and BIOS) recommendations are woefully poor when compared to other brands which could be a potential problem for someone depending on their build and experience level. Conclusion: A cheap(ish) board for a mid-spec AMD build, it serves its purpose I suppose. If I was to go back and start again on my build knowing what I know now however, I would most likely buy a different board from a different manufacturer.

- It supports ryzen 5000 series out of the box (had a sticker, tested with 5600x). - VRM temps are good for this price range - posts/boots without dgpu/igpu so it's perfect for a headless server (tested with ubuntu server 20.04) - seemed quite durable, the mounting pressure from the cooler master hyper 410r didn't cause even a slight bend - my unit came without pins soldered for the usb3 front panel header, since I'm using for server purpose it was not an issue, but ig you could get a replacement.
