I used this product to make a polarising microscope filter and it works perfectly. I glued it to some plastic rings for positioning above the light and then above the sample. Excellent quality.

This filter was purchased for a family member for use with specialist equipment. They are very pleased with the product.

This is very useful for studying transparent objects in polarised light. I need to have both plane-polarised light (one sheet), and cross polarised light (two sheets at 90 degrees to each other), and this product gives these very well. Note that you get only one sheet, despite the photo suggesting you get two. So if you need cross polarised light you either need to buy two sheets (better therefore to buy the larger sheet option of 500 x 100 mm and cut into 100 x 100 pieces) or if you need only a smaller area, then cut the 100 x 100 sheet into four, 50 x 50 mm pieces, so you have some spares! Note this product is likely best treated as if it was a camera lens surface and avoid scratches because if your sample needs to be pressed against the sheet then any photographs will show the scratches, as is the case for geological thin sections in a slide scanner, which is what I used this for. Therefore I keep the pieces carefully in lens tissue in an envelope to protect them and treat them carefully.

I should have read the small print better, but the photo suggested there were two pieces in a pack. There's only one, as it does indeed say. My fault perhaps, but there really should be a clear message on or right by the photo.

Purchased to use a biological microscope with polarised light. The filter arrived very quickly as was easily cut to form the filters I required, very pleased with the result and would certainly recommend it for this purpose.
