Do crayons or markers work best for drawing on this?

Markers work best but crayons can be used also and will show up. Our kids used both and had a good time.

How big is the box it comes in? I need to fit it in a suitcase

It will not fit in a suitcase. Its about as big as a TV box

Does this break down easy? To store flat behind a couch for example

Yes but I don’t know how many times the flaps could handle being taken apart and put back together.

Will this fit in a suitcase?

The dimensions for the item is large. I would not recommend putting it in a suitcase.
