Best Roach killer of all times
I know it says fire ants but this is the Best kind of Orthene killer for Roaches!!! I live in an apartment and I have OCD! I don’t do any kind of bugs. Every time someone moves out of an apartment close to me and the guys start cleaning and spraying for bugs I see a roach or 2. The big big ones! I started using this 3 years ago every 4-6 months (how frequently ppl move) and now I don’t allow pest control in. It does better than their spray! Gonna need to open windows to air out the place. Use a glove and spoon to spread. 1 bottle lasted 2 years

Ortho Fire Ant Killer
Fire ants are a terrible problem in my state of NC. I have tried numerous fire ant killers. They worked some, but Ortho Fire Ant killer really kills the mound and the Queen. It has a very strong smell, so make sure you wear a mask or don't get down wind of it! It is very quick and easy to use and works quickly too!

My Secret Roach Fix
No idea how this works as an ant killer, but let me tell you over the last 3 years, only two bottles of this have completely fixed all my roach problems in my apartment. I just sprinkle a little where I see roaches, and it keeps them away for months. It’s so easy to clean up afterward just sweep and mop the powder, and you’re done. In terms of value for money, it’s outstanding. A single container lasts a very long time (lasted me more than a year) since you only need small amounts at a time. The powder itself has a plain, functional appearance nothing fancy, but it does the job. The container comes with a secure seal that keeps the product fresh and easy to store without spills. As for toxicity, I handle it carefully (gloves and washing hands after use), and so far I’ve had no issues indoors as long as I use it sparingly and responsibly. I recommend this to everyone, it’s absolute gold for unexpected pest problems.

Great results, but follow the instructions!
I've seen a few negative reviews on this product, mostly complaints about the smell. One even wrote that his or her neighbors were complaining. Which makes me wonder if the reviewer was applying the product according to the package directions. Yes, it has a smell, but the instructions call for sprinkling just one teaspoon of the product per mound. And one teaspoon of this fire ant killer does not create much of a smell. And obviously this product is intended for outdoor use. If you use it indoors, you are certainly going to smell it. That said, I was skeptical about it, and not just because of a few negative reviews. I've tried several fire ant products, and most just cause the ants to relocate a few feet away and build a new mound. I followed the Orthene package directions, and it worked. Dead mounds, and no new mounds around. I even saw dead ants atop the mounds. Here are a few tips on getting results: 1. Apply it at a time when no rain is expected for at least a week. The powder is tracked into the mound by the ants, and that's how it works. Watering it in will stop its effectiveness. 2. Stand upwind when you sprinkle it over the mound. It is a fine powder, and any little breeze will blow it around. 3. Try for a very light dusting of the whole mound. I sprinkled just a LITTLE extra around the borders of the mound. 4. Don't disturb the mound. If you disturb it, the ants may relocate before the powder works. Or they may do some mound repair that covers the powder before they track it back in. If the ants accidentally get stirred up by the powder being applied, as long as the mound itself isn't disturbed, that seems to be okay -- it still worked when that happened with one mound I treated. 5. It takes a few days to work, so be patient for 3 to 7 days. Then check the mound for results. Reapply Orthene if necessary, but if you get results like I did, reapplying won't be necessary.

Get this to get rid of roaches in your home! Just do it!!
I purchased this after reading other reviews that it kills roaches and does it ever and it’s 100% legit and I’ve been non stop sweeping up dead ones. It’s marketed to kill fire ants, but honestly, after spending so much $$$ on products that had “good reviews” on supposedly killing roaches and even pest control services that ended up failing me, I was desperate! This is by far the most effective product that I’ve used and I had a real big issue with roaches in my home. All I’ve done is sprinkled this powder behind the stove, refrigerator and dishwasher in the cracks and up against the walls where the roach nests are and I’m on day five and I’ve been seeing dead roaches non stop all over the floor. Warning though, it stinks like literal rotten eggs, a horrible smell! It lingers for a bit, but thankfully it does go away after a few hours. The terrible smell is worth it though, seeing these nasty things die off the way there are. So definitely give this a try and stop wasting money on the crap that doesn’t work! I know I’ll be telling anyone with a roach infestation to get this, because it actually works, kills them off fast and I’m overall, amazed with the results!

Works but hated the smell
Gets the job done but the worse smell ever. It’s like rotten eggs. My husband did not realize that and put too much in our backyard. Our yard smelled like rotten eggs for a month. Kept the ants away but also kept us out the yard too which was not what we wanted.

Effective
Very effective fire ant killer. I’ve purchased it twice and it works every time. It kills the queen and destroys the colony.
