Works as Designed
I got tired of having to reset my managed switches when people at work were plugging unmanaged switches in down stream and creating conditions were the managed switch had to close the port to protect the network. I now have RJ45 locks with everything point to point and unused ports on the managed switch are closed. Unmanaged switches are no longer in use in this area. People may be mad at me, but they have a reliable network connection.

Total Rip Off
The Trip lite rj4 lock does not work, it says you have to cut the locking mechanism off the ethernet cable... so I did... and ended up burning a 100 ft ethernet cable.. It wouldnt have been so bad but they make you purchase the key seperately... and they dont offer return shipping on the key.. totally shady, don't bother.
