I have been refurbishing a number of elderly HP EliteBook 840 G1 laptops recently. Mostly destined for friends and family, I have upgraded the SSD, added a new CMOS battery, checked the main battery and added more memory. Usually, I have installed 8GB of DDR3 RAM which has proved more than adequate. However, the last (and best condition) EliteBook is for me! So, I decided to give it a decent start in its new life. As such, I added a spare Samsung 1TB EVO SSD and this very reasonably priced 16GB memory kit. The memory is in 2 x 8GB sticks and they slotted straight in without any issues. I checked all was OK in BIOS and then booted the laptop - it runs so smoothly without the slightest hiccup - just like having a new PC. So, I am very pleased and just have to keep the laptop out of my daughter's sticky hands..... NOTE. In the seller's listing, I noted there are 2 apparently identically specified 16GB (2 x 8GB) kits - 'Blue' and 'Green'. The green variant being £1 more expensive. I was concerned there may be some important compatibility differences between the 2 offerings. However, the only differences I could see in the photos were the chipsets being from different manufacturers. Anyway, the blue variation was the cheaper and, as I said above, it works fine for me! Perhaps I have missed something?

Pretty much spot on for what I needed. They went into a MacBook Pro late 2011 model and it works flawlessly which, if you know how picky machines can be with RAM, is pretty impressive. The sticks are really well made, well priced, great packaging and just generally really great stuff! So yeah, highly recommend these for anyone looking to upgrade older tech. :D

Bought this to upgrade an older laptop and it worked perfectly straight away. Installation was very simple, just slot the two sticks in and the system recognised the full 16GB without any issues. No BIOS tweaking or messing around needed. Performance has been solid so far. The laptop feels smoother when multitasking, programs open quicker, and general use is much more responsive than before. For the price, this kit does exactly what it is supposed to do. Reliable, easy to install, and works without any fuss.

Ho acquistato questo kit di RAM da 16GB per aggiornare il mio notebook, e sono rimasto estremamente soddisfatto. L'installazione è stata semplice e immediata, grazie al formato standard Sodimm e alle istruzioni chiare. Le prestazioni sono migliorate notevolmente: il sistema ora è più reattivo, e i tempi di caricamento delle applicazioni si sono ridotti significativamente. Inoltre, il prodotto è perfettamente compatibile con la mia macchina, che richiede RAM a basso voltaggio (1.35V). Un punto a favore è il rapporto qualità-prezzo: difficilmente si trovano kit di questa qualità a un costo così competitivo. In sintesi, consiglio questo prodotto a chiunque desideri migliorare le prestazioni del proprio portatile senza complicazioni.

Lo compré para un PC que tengo en el salón como mediacenter, y no daba un duro por esto, marca desconocida, barato, etc. Pero sin embargo FUNCIONAN. No sé si la latencia será mejor o peor, para lo que yo lo uso, está genial. No tengo ya problemas de RAM y por ahora, funcionan perfectamente. Ojo, que este PC está encendido, 24-7.
