Is hand washing suggested for this pillowcase? Any tips on the best way to wash?

I have been washing them by hand I have three I’m about to order another one I’ve been giving them out to all the women I know is gifts they love them they wash great in the wash machine I turn it inside out and I usually put it on cold water then I hang it up on a hanger I want to drive by it self. Fantastic product I’m waiting for the yellow ones to come back in stock so I can buy a yellow one.

Silk Satin - are these pillowcases silk with a satin weave, or are they polyester with a "silk" satin weave?

I'm not sure what they are, but they're definitely not silk! They also have an odd odor, which silk never does. I tried them as I have slept on the J Jimoo 22 momme cases and liked them. The difference between those and these is night and day. I found these itchy. My face got a few red spots from them from sensitivity I believe, which tells me probably a lot of synthetic. The tag just says "SilkSatin". Color was nice, but other than that, if you're looking for silk, these are not it. I only sleep on silk cases - mostly Slip, Blissy and when seeking a less expensive alternative, the J Jimoo 22 momme or 22 momme Zimasilk, which both have a high silk content.

What are some name brand soaps that meet the guidance for ingredients that should not be used to wash these?

The first few times I used Woolite as directed. The last time I used a gentle form of Gain. I always air dry.
