YUAM32X6S YTX16-BS Battery, multi-colored

The battery is perfect which is surprising because the packaging was terrible. It had no padding and it bounced around in the box. I can’t believe it worked.

This is the original battery that comes on my Vulcan motorcycle and the price is great since all local ships were trying to sell it for double the price.

This battery arrived with the shipping box in excellent condition. However, the inner box containing the battery looked very old - it was dirty, corners were bent, and it was not sealed or taped shut. Inside, the battery itself also looked very old - it was dirty, did not come with the expected terminal hardware, and the terminals were oxidized. The only thing that looked in new condition was the acid bottle.Apparently, what I received was a very old battery.I added the acid to the battery per instructions online (there were no instructions in the box as is normally the case with new Yuasa batteries), let it sit for an hour, and then put it on a slow charge. After it charged fully, I left the battery on my workbench unconnected for a couple of days in my 65 degree F garage. After a couple of days sitting with no load or current draw, the battery was down to about 50% charge. This battery is performing like it is at the end of its life, not like a brand new battery.Obviously, I paid for a new battery and received something different. There is no option to get a refund, so I have to eat the cost of this mistake.Don't make the same mistake I did! Buy from a reputable source that does a good volume so that you are likely to get a fresh battery with a full usable lifetime.

Amazon said this particular battery would not fit my 2013 Triumph Tiger 800. It turns out that this is the exact same OEM model that comes with the bike in the first place.Do not trust Amazon's "will it fit your vehicle" page, because it may give you wrong info. I double checked on both Yuasa's website and Revilla.com to ensure this would fit, but again, it's the exact same make and model that comes with my particular bike.Just make sure you guy a trickle charger for this type of battery and you are good to go.

Missed one star because of 4-day delay in receiving the battery, the box worn & battery quite dirty, missing attaching bolts/nuts. Fortunately, not a big deal, because it was unused and performs well in my bike!

Battery fit perfectly in my 01 Vulcan Nomad. The process of filling the battery is very simple, but I would do it outside or at least have ventilation. After the filling I let the battery sit for about 3hrs. Then I put the taper cover on and let the battery sit on a trickle charger over night. The next morning after installing the battery, I turned the bike on and could not be more happy. The bike practically jump it was suck a strong crank.I will do my best to come back on here after the season is over and give an update. 3/14/16

I purchased Yuassa because they still manufacture motorsport batterie's in the USA and when it comes to lead acid or AGM batteries I will pay extra for that. Unfortunately the battery I received was manufactured in Taiwan. Should have looked at the fine print a bit closer.For the uninitiated the reason I was looking for specifically an American made battery is all of them have lasted me at least 6 years. I have one that has been in service for over 10 years and is still more reliable than the motorcycle battery I’m replacing which has only been in service for 18 months.Higher quality lead and better quality control can go a long way when it comes to any product, but is critical in batterie’s. Unfortunately it appears Yuassa is one of very few manufacturers who have remained stateside. Next time I will triple check country of origin in order to reward Yuassa for their commitment to quality and our country.
