Shirley Jean Christmas Fruit Cake 48 oz.

Taste was just ok, but it was crumbly and dry in middle Glad it wasn't to be a gift.

Very poor product. Cake arrived well secure in box however it was crushed before packing. It was a gift but thank godness I opened it before hand. It was in peices. and not very presentable. I ate it and it was good but very dry and crumbly.

We ordered this as a gift for a party on December 13th. The box said "Use by November 30th". We received it today (December 2nd). There was no mention in the description that would have a "use by date". Aside from this, from what we can see of the fruit cake (without opening the box), it seems to be broken in several spots. Possibly the entire fruit cake is broken into many pieces. It was boxed VERY well (two boxes PLUS the box for the fruit cake) so it may have been broken prior to being packaged.

This was delicious and everyone loved it. It arrived broken into many pieces, so don't get it if you want it to look presentable.
