How to do get the kettle to fit into the base ? It arrived and is wobbly and does not click into the heating element base... help?!

Plug the element in first, then put the kettle ( don’t forget the water) on top of it, push the button down, there should appear the red light on the bottom side which means it is on and working. Wait 5 minutes and the boiled water is ready, serve as you wish. I hope it helped. If something doesn’t work or unsteady, just return it back and get another one. Mine was in excellent condition and working properly, everything fits. Also ask the manufacturer if needed.
