Remote Dock for Magnetix Handheld Shower Head, Chrome Finish, 186117

I put this in the shower where my 6 year old could reach and it was a total game changer! She can grab it when she needs it and put it back on her own! No more suds in her hair because she can rinse it well on her own! And I don't have to break my back holding the handheld for her!

I purchased this to replace one I had put up two years ago that was losing adhesion. I attributed the lose of adhesion to be due, at least in part, to my hasty prep work. This time I took more care to prep the mounting area and I expect to get a longer service this time. This item can be installed using the included 3M adhesive or by using the included mounting hardware. I didn't want to put screw holes in my shower wall for something I may want to take down later so I went with the adhesive method. The quality of the bracket is good. The previous bracket had held up fine and looked new after two years other than the aforementioned adhesion issue. Good product, holds the sprayer head great.

I have a disabled user in my home who needed to be able to reach the shower head. This worked great! It comes with a 3m adhesive, as well as the option to screw it into your wall. I always keep the shower head in it now.

Is the magnet reversible? It currently repels the magnet in my Moen (I believe) wand. Am I going to need to open the base and reverse it? Can I do this without breaking it? I didn't see instructions on how to do this but it seems easy enough. Other than that, it seems like it will do the job. Stay tuned. Solved: easy-peasy: just pop-off the ring in front with a small screw driver or knife blade, unscrew the four bolts that hold the magnet cover, then remove and reverse the magnet from the magnet cover while not loosing the washer that was under the magnet, re-assemble, and you are done. I know that the adhesive will not last so gluing or bolting will be needed. At this time, since I am adhering to marble, I will try the adhesive first to see how long it lasts, then go to glue after it falls off, which I fully expect it to do and that's why I am giving 4 instead of 5 stars. These work perfect to lower the shower head placement for my toddler, I only used the 3M sticky and it been up for over a month with out a problem.

This remote dock has been a game changer for me while bathing my adult daughter with special needs. So helpful to be able to dock the magnetic handheld shower head next to her shower chair. Strong magnetic hold. Have had no issues with it at all.

We would be perfect for what we need it this things works as we hoped. Our shower head does not hold it by this dock. I think it really depends on what material that your showerhead is made out of. We have to return it. Check your showerhead first before placing it order.
