My 97 yr old father wears sweatpants as pajamas. He was down to one old pair and I needed to buy him new ones, but there were several challenges. First, he had gotten much smaller in size since he last bought pants, and second, there was no longer a label in his only remaining pair. Dad is fussy... like Goldielocks... the pants can't be too tight at the waist, or too baggie in the legs, or not soft enough, and must have pockets and an adjustable drawstring. Maybe he's more like Mr. Pitt from Seinfeld (with the socks, haha). So I bought every brand of sweatpants I could find. Hanes, Fruit of the Loom, Champion, Amazon Essentials, Jerzees, the list goes on and on. As I opened all of the packages I could immediately tell they would not work. Stiff material, no pockets, waistband not stretchy or too small, not heavy enough, too heavy, too long, etc. THEN I OPENED THE RUSSELL SWEATPANTS. Ahhhhhh they seemed just right. Soft material, nice stretchy waistband, perfect weight, size looked perfect. The waistband even has a noticeable cushiony feel too it, compared to all the others. So dad tried them on, LOVED THEM. Mission accomplished. We only tried on one of the other brands and he immediately snapped "give me that first pair back! (the Russell) That's the pair I want!" So all the other brands were returned and we ordered 8 more of the Russell, and matching sweatshirts too! Dad is now happy and can sleep comfortably! Thank you Russell!!!

After 2 wearings and a wash, half of the cord that is sewn into the back seam came apart. As I have done with older sweats I had to cut a hole at the rear seam, re-thread the half that came out, cut the other side and tie the two sides together...Like they probably should be, so the tie goes al the way around your waist. Other than that they fit well and are very comfortable.

I'm a woman with very long legs, so I usually buys mens sweats, they fit better for length. These are so comfortable and soft! I love the fit, the elastic at waist and ankles hugs to your body without being too strong or leaving marks in the skin. The pockets are a nice size. They're light weight, but incredibly warm, I will be buying more!

I needed some pants for an upcoming job.The criteria was black pants of any kind that had no designs or huge writing. It is very difficult for me to find pants that don’t aggravate a medical condition in my leg. I can’t wear jeans or anything tough or constricting. I always wear shorts. I looked for 2 hours to find some soft pants and I don’t think I could get by with 200% typical cotton. Looks way too unprofessional. I also needed them shipped in no more than 2 days. These arrived I 2 days and the fit is perfect. I need 2X or 3X. I ended up ordering the 3X and the fit, comfort and look are perfect! The color of the black ones look much nicer than typical sweat pants. I will provide an update after I’ve worked in them for several weeks.

Soft, comfortable sweatpants, but they seem to have a flaw where the left pocket rips out easily. This isn’t the fist time it’s happened to me with this brand, but definitely the first time the pocket ripped out after only two weeks of use.

Russel Athletics makes good quality clothing. I've been wearing their sweatpants for decades. I used to wear the Large size but now that I lost a little weight (I'm currently 5'8 170lbs) I wear the medium size. I have one in the small size and it fits but I like it to be a little loose. I usually get the closed bottom version with pockets. Just bought one medium black and one medium navy. As usual they are perfect. They keep you warm when it is cold and are comfortable to wear. Also got some Russel Athletic long sleeve shirts. Good stuff!

Soft, comfortable sweatpants, and the fabric is a good thickness. Somewhat baggy, but overall I would say they fit true to size. Good quality for the price.
