I bought this bag for a quick trip to Chicago (from San Diego) when I was going to be travelling with my 1 year old and my 90 year old grandfather. I needed a way to lug it through the airport with all the rest of our stuff and still be able to tend to the baby. This bag was great. Our Britax car seat fit with enough room to put it in comfortably. The straps were easily adjustable, and the handle on the front was convenient when I just needed to lift it up and move it a foot or two. The drawstring was very long so that was easy to get the bag all the way open. The only thing that would have made this bag even better is if they could figure out how to put wheels and a pulling handle on it. When we picked up the car seat there was some dirt/black marks on the bag so it was nice to know they were on the bag instead of on the actual car seat.

This bag is sturdy and very large. We fit a small stroller and a booster seat in it for gate-check, and were actually able to fit a 2nd car-seat most of the way into it as we carried it through the airport. The straps were sturdy and it made it through two gate-check flights with nary a rip or break. My ONLY negative is the drawstring top-- because the string just dangled both times the baggage handlers double knotted it, and it was very difficult to get the knot out on the other end.

This is fine, and did the job. However, I really wish I had read more about it before buying it. We borrowed one from a friend before buying our own. The borrowed car seat bag had a zipper, and that was amazing. I didn't read closely enough to notice that this one just has strings to draw it closed. Not very convenient, especially if you plan to add anything else to the bag before closing. Parents traveling with children have enough stress in the airport without the addition of the gate check travel bag. It is okay (durable fabric, correct size, etc) , and yet we will probably end up purchasing a different bag with a zipper.

We bought this blue car seat bag and also red one for our stroller from a different manufacturer ( J.L. Childress Gate Check Bag For Standard and Double Strollers, Red ). After our first flight the other one already had holes but this one was fine. We also checked it as baggage in one leg of our journey and it was completely fine. One thing to note is that it is rather large, but we still have the first phase of car seat, so this should continue to work as we need a bigger car seat. I am actually curious to try and see if this will fit our stroller (baby jogger), I will post an update when I try. Oh, and the backpack straps are SO handy! It's hard enough traveling with a kid, you don't have enough hands to get through the gate.

This bag is wonderfully spacious and fit our large Britax easily with room to spare. However, like other reviewers indicated, the quality is not great. The drawstring closure does not fully close the top, so utilizing the extra room for other items is out of the question. Also, after a single leg of gate check, we had a hole in the bag. It's not huge, but it does indicate the quality of this product is lacking.

Purchased two of these bags based off of reviews. The quality is fine, and the backpack straps are a nice option, but these bags will NOT close completely at the top with the draw string. This leaves a gaping hole which I am not happy with. If they closed tightly and completely, I'd give this product 5 stars. But since there's no way to get it to cinch closed completely, I'm returning them and giving the review 1 star. Do not buy this if you are expecting to be able to fully close and contain your car seat and items in this bag. My assumption is the attached zippered compartment, which the bag folds back into, is getting in the way of the draw string - not allowing you to fully cinch tight.

This seems very durable. We used it for one trip and had no complaints. We liked the address window and it was comfortable to carry. We had three carseats. So we strapped one carseat to our carry-on with the youngest riding in it (it's for sale on Amazon). We gate checked the other two. FYI: it will fit a carseat and a booster base.

Excellent durable quality! I bought 2 for a recent flight, we gate checked both car seats. The bags have straps so you can carry the seats like a back pack and are very spacious so it was easy to get the seats in and out. Afterwards I just folded them up and tucked them in the attached zipper bags and tossed them in the suitcase to use for our next trip.
