Work as good as when truck was new
This really helped when I replaced them. A little hard to get to 2 of them but changes just like a spark plug. Now truck starts good in cold weather as it used too. I checked the old ones all 8 were bad so I had no help starting on the old ones but the truck had about 250,000 miles on it when I changed them. LB7 Duramax engine.

EXACT replacement for GM#97226202
Amazon insisted on my giving the info on my 2001 Chev. Silverado and then told me that this glow plug would NOT fit it. Since I have had several glow plugs go out, I knew that the 97226202 glow plug was correct for my 2001 LB7 diesel engine and discovered that the 62G plug was the newer version of it. I ordered two of these and upon receipt of them found them identical even down to the spec markings on the barrel of the glow plug! This is an exact factory replacement part for the LB7, 6.6L diesel engine. Packing, shipping and delivery was great and they arrived ahead of time. I recommend them to all who need a 97226202 (62G) glow plug.

Not correct for 2011-2016 LML DURAMAX engine
the product description is incorrect these do not fit and or work on the 2011-2016 LML Duramax engines. I ordered these during the summer but I did not get around to installing them till 12-6-25. The correct Gm part is (9G) AC DELCO glow plug for the LML engines. I will be giving these to a friend who has an older DURAMAX they will work with

Genuine GM parts
Nothing wrong with these glow plugs, fitting them took about three hours by a savvy amateur. Best tip is to watch the YouTube videos, especially the one on removing the steering shaft joint as one glow plug is impossible to remove without doing this. I removed the CAC pipes as well for easier access. Final tip is copious and multiple quantities of penetrant oil some days before to ease the corrosion as its steel in an aluminum block, then remove when the engine is hot. Was an $800 job at my local GM dealer and completed for $100 myself.

Great OEM glow plug.
Glad I went with OEM on this, there are some bad experiences folks have had with aftermarket glow plugs.

Even though the match said they were for a 2001-2004 and would fit our application they were wrong . Check with your local dealership using your VIN to be sure you have the correct plugs
