Less traditional use, but I love this thing!!
Have a teenager that loves to play video games? Ever find yourself yelling for them and they never hear you? Plug the receiver into an outlet wherever they game and keep the bell button with you. No more yelling with the neighbors thinking you’re crazy!! Best idea ever

Bought it again!!!
This is the second doorbell (second house) that I’ve bought from this company. That speaks for itself. If the first one didn’t work I wouldn’t have bought it again!!!

Elder Care must have!
This doorbell work great if you have elders in your home. My mom rings the doorbell when she needs help, no yelling through the house, no using cell phones just an easy push of the button.

Don't pry it open. It's just clamped together
I made the mistake of trying wedge a screwdriver between the seam to open it up. Eventually I realized the part with the button just snaps into the part that goes against the wall with identical clamps at the top and bottom. It gets the job done but doesn't really look very classy. It's pretty large vs a regular doorbell.Cons: 95% of the rings are annoying versions of songs instead of actual chimes. It looks kind of cheap and the outside unit is quite large.Pros: It's cheap at 10 bucks. The volume low is nice and quiet and the high is nice and loud. The indoor plug isn't polarized so it can be inserted either way vertically, not blocking any sockets.I'll admit I bought it solely on the price and didn't shop for one that looks better.Update: Soon after a couple weeks it only rings about 25% of the time. Not sure if it's the battery, the button, or the location of the inside unit.Update 2: I moved the unit from about 25' and three walls away to within about 6' and two walls away and it seems to work fine now. Just don't try to put it too far away.. and try to avoid intervening wiring within the walls.

peaceful house with teenagers.
I love these doorbells we have two of them that are in our kitchen pantry connected to our kids rooms on the second floor. Now whenever we need them or it’s time to dinner, we simply push the doorbell and they come out to see what’s going on. They are easy to set up, and the kids can have their own tune. Our house is much more peaceful without having to yell up and down the stairs.

Works in Class of 30!
I am a middle school teacher and my largest classes push 30 to 32 kids. At its loudest, my kids will hear this on the first time, or maybe the second if it’s needed. It works really well and has held up. I haven’t had any issues with connectivity or the batteries on the trigger button. I definitely suggest this for anyone in education if you’re looking for a way to get the classes attention without having to raise your voice.
