Awesome product, good taste, quality, nice amount. I make healthy bread and pancakes out of it mixing it with coconut milk, the best dietician option, no fat, good for digestion, full of vitamins and minerals. Vegan and light.

Delicious, nutritious, and in my budget. Good find.
I love this stuff. It's the first buckwheat I tried and I'm neurotic about spending money based on hearsay, but the reviews were good enough to get me to buy some and I havent regreted it. I thought I had screwed up because I first tried it straight boiled in unsalted water, which I don't recommend, but Ive come to find that it's rediculously versitile. So far my favorite way to prepare it is toasting under a broiler, stirred by a long metal spatula. I think it's called Kasha at that point and I'm perfectly happy muching on it just like that. If it's well toasted it has the interesting effect of heating up palpably if you chew it correctly and giving the sensation of a warm meal so it's a favored snack of mine. For general consumtion nowadays I just use my old hand crank processor to grind the toasted buckwheat into a rough meal, which can be used just like oat meal with the caveats that it takes a little longer to thicken, it smells and tastes better (if you dig earthy flavors like me), and it has a much more complete and balanced nutrient profile.

"You can't ruin it with too much butter!"
Buckwheat (Kasha) is very popular in Russia; the headline is a common saying about buckwheat there. I've tried many times but have not ruined it, yet. Easy to prepare, if you can boil water. I have added this to my "survival food" stock (supply chain issues and general preparedness) because: it is relatively inexpensive; stores and keeps well; has an innate flavor that my family loves; mixes well with eggs, vegetables, meats, soups. Great nutritional profile. Next experiment: Buckwheat and Black Beans - Yum!

Bulk, Raw Groat Buckwheat
This bag of groats comes untoasted. I use them daily and the package size is perfect for one month subscription orders. I have a separate container but there is a reseal on the bag that seems to work just fine. I get other things monthly so in a larger shipment the buckwheat bag come intact and as expected. I've bought this item several

Great flavor and texture! I use them in overnight groats and cooked. Enjoy them both hot and cold. Package has a ziplock feature that has worked no matter how many times I open it.

Buckwheat: the amazing vegan non-grain, non-wheat complete protein
Most people think buckwheat is a grain because of the way it cooks and is related to wheat because of its name. Well, itโs neither. Itโs actually a pseudocereal, to which Quinoa, Amaranth, and Wild Rice also fall into, which are seeds that cook like grains. Why explain this? Because of nutrition. First off, because itโs not a type of wheatgrass, itโs gluten-free. Secondly, itโs one of few vegan sources that is a complete protein, or containing all 9 essential amino acids that your body can't otherwise produce on its own. It is also a great source for dietary fiber, which your gut microbiome will thank you for consuming. Finally, it is packed with lots of vitamins and minerals. In terms of consumption, buckwheat has a hearty, nutty texture. My favorite use is in porridge (think oatmeal but with buckwheat), cooked on high pressure for 6 mins in my Instant Pot pressure cooker with 1.75C full-fat coconut cream and 1/2t salt. Adding in raisins, pecans, and some cinnamon makes a really delicious, naturally sweetened, and very filling breakfast. It makes a nice filler for recipes as well, especially if you are following a Whole-Food Plant-Based (WFPB) diet, since it is a complete protein. It works well in savory dishes like curries, a vegan shepherd's pie, or any kind of casserole dish too. P.S. This is my honest review about buckwheat because I like it so much. I am not affiliated with nor have received this product for free.
