Works PERFECTLY on an 5-GALLON IGLOO cooler/dispenser
We keep honeybees, and this time of year (post taking honey) they have to be fed sugar water. We feed them via inverted mason jars atop each hive, and have to replenish them every 3-4 days. We were mixing up sugar water in a 5-gallon orange bucket, but then it's back-breaking to lift and pour into jars with funnels on top. So we got the idea of using an IGLOO cooler, and that worked so much better... except for the spigot. Pressing that button in while filling a gallon jar at a time became PAINFUL after a few jars. So THIS spigot was a GODSEND!!! It is a perfect replacement, easy to install and very tightly sealed. It is sturdy and reliable. Now we can mix up the sugar water, set the spigot area over the sink, and put a jar in place. Flip the spigot open, and leave it. When it's done, flip it down and it shuts off entirely. Not even the slightest drips! PERFECT! Now it is a JOY to mix up all this sugar water. We installed the spigot SIDEWAYS. Installed so that when you push the spigot up WORKS, there is still enough clearance to stay open, but it's barely 1/8" away from the cooler that way. It made more sense for us to install it sideways so that it's a fast and easy flip up and down. Something to consider for sports use, etc. (regular use!). We don't subject to abuse, so I can't say how it would last with 30+ league kids flipping it up and down, but for our use I think it's going to be very long-lasting. For the money, this is a great value! And we're saving hundreds in chiropractor bills! LOL.

Yes, It Does Fit a Berkey Lite Water Filter
After 10 years or so, my Berkey Lite filter unit spontaneously started dripping on the floor. Tracked it down to the spigot. Berkey online was sold out of Berkey Lite spighots. Matched this units appearance to the same one I had using the Berkey picture as a guide. Purchased it. Removed the old spigot. Installed this one easily in minutes matching the diagram and instructions which accompanied it. Leak stopped. Works fine. No complaints. Came quickly with Prime delivery and solved the problem quickly as well. No more leaks.

They work well, but...
...we found you've really got to tighten the heck out of them to stop them leaking on the flat plastic surface we applied them to. Rather than over tighten, we hand tightened, watched for leaks, then gave 1/4 turns with pliers and observed, repeating in increments until leaks stopped. These will be for dispensing "worm tea" from under our worm bins to feed the garden.

Great for making your own Bokashi compost buckets.
I bought these to make Bokashi compost buckets for my kitchen. The spigot is used to drain out the "compost tea" from the bottom. You will need a Forstner drill bit to drill the right size hole to install it. Once you make the hole, it's easy to put in. Comes with gaskets so it will not leak. I already had four five gallon buckets and two gamma seal lids that I wasn't using to store pet food any more, so it would have been crazy to buy a set of two of these buckets made up for $100. Yes, that's what they sell for on Amazon and other websites. You drill quarter-inch holes in one bucket, and install the spigot in the second bucket. Then put the bucket with holes inside the one with the spigot, and put on the gamma lid. You're done and it's cheap!

It should work, looks like the old one.
I have not used it yet, still in wrapper. Took and gave the old one a good cleaning it has functioned correctly since, water wood not shut off. Now I have some assurance if it malfunctions again I have something to replace it with.

Great customer service
This is a solid and well made spigot that is made in the USA. I have had a plastic water jug for years and the original spigot finally broke. After I ordered this one from AquaNation I discovered it did not fit my older jug since the opening in my older jug was not a standard size. I emailed AquaNation asking about my options and Casey was very helpful in helping me figure out how to make the opening in my jug larger so this new spigot would fit. I heated a small piece of copper pipe, made the opening just a little bigger and the new spigot fits perfectly, doesn't leak and feels solid when I use it. Thank you Casey!!

Okay, but the threads were poorly done
I was able to use this spigot with my 2.5 gallon New Wave Enviro crock, but I had to make adjustments. So, the threads were poorly done and created a tiny gap on the outer (outside the crock) portion, which caused a leak because the silicone gasket didn't cover the gap. Also, the silicone gaskets aren't very good because they squish easily, which can cause gaps as well. The solution was to use gaskets for a 5/8 garden hose fitting. I placed two gaskets on the outer portion of the spigot (the part outside the crock) and one on the inside. Then, I hand-tightened the plastic nut. By using the garden hose gaskets and by using two on the outer side of the spigot, I was able to resolve the leaks and this improved the water flow since the seal was solid. Honestly, these cheap plastic spigots are the same no matter which brand, so it boils down to sealing and blocking the pipe with the correct gaskets. Otherwise, the problem persists no matter which spigot replacement you purchase. They are all cheap and short-term. Anyhow, the gaskets I used help immensely, so I thought I would share this discovery with other customers needing a reliable solution. That said, 3 stars because I can use the spigot, but I had to use different gaskets. Now, if the flip handle fails to control the on/off of the water, I will update and downgrade this review further. For now, I will be generous with 3 Stars, which is an "average" score.
