Buy this for family, friends and yourself!
An excellent knife for the money. Handle is small yet with the choil (finger indent after the handle) it nicely fits my large hand. By not using the choil it fits a smaller hand also. Thick full tang blade with hard wood handles. The non stainless steel is durable, easy to take a very fine edge and keeps edge respectively. Coat with a spot of olive oil to hedge off any possibility of rust. I was not sure about the leather sheath yet it retains knife well and has easily held up to daily wear. Suggestions : I ground shallow jimping (grooves) where your finger and thumb engage the bottom & top of the blade to dramatically increase purchase of knife grip. Would like to see this knife in S30v steel if the manufacturer is listening. So buy as a gift for your hunter or friends as it's a valued keeper and a sweet knife. Update: 10/4/18 I did manage to pop the belt loop rivet when I caught the sheathed knife sitting in a chair. No worries, as it did not rip the leather. So after installing a snap in its place I fixed two issues by fixing the pulling rivet and should it happen again the snap will pop open then just resnap it closed. Still a nice knife.

Low cost - NOT low quality
This is my second "low cost" knife from Perkin Knives. Well made, good fit and finish. Although very sharp with its factory edge, I spent about 10 minutes to make it razor sharp. I've used it on soft wood (cedar) and hardwood (oak) and the edge did not roll or chip. A little too small for batoning kindling, but that's not why I bought it. I will be using it most likely for skinning, and once in a while for fine carving tasks. For those purposes, I predict it will be an excellent blade. I hope Perkin continues to offer reasonably priced knives like this. After purchasing two, I am now willing to try out one or two of their higher priced blades. Hope this helps those who are on the fence

Another REALLY good deal!
I've said it many times in my life, and I'll continue to. I'm a knife whore. I really just ended up buying this on a whim. I was about to order another very inexpensive, yet highly endorsed knife, and before I proceeded to checkout, this caught my eye. I couldn't resist it. Especially at the price. As far as what you get for your money, this is a really nice knife. The sheath is a very basic leather, but seems to hug the knife very well. It would take a heck of a ride to have it just fall out on you. The handle is a little small for my hand, and I knew it would be when I read the specs. But it's not so small that I'd ever return it. I'm a big guy. Lots of knives are small in my hand. The blade is gorgeous, with absolutely ZERO flaws. I REALLY like the strength and angle at the point of the blade. This will most likely be a camp cooking knife and/or a field dressing knife. It has a great balance and handles 'finesse' very well. I've seen a few complaints about it on here, and I'll tell you right to your face, I have absolutely nothing to complain about. It's not the BEST knife I have, but the small price tag on it is beyond well worth it.

Beautiful Work of Art
What a beautiful work of Art, and for just 15 Bucks. I have collected Knives all of my life, and I own a few. This is one of the nicest Knives I own, comparable to much more expensive Knives. The Knife is very well made with a shaving sharp edge right out of the Box. The Grind Lines are perfect, and the Handle is tight and perfectly fitted. The Sheath is nice heavy Leather with a thick Welt and double Stitching. All in all this is a very nice Knife well suited for Bush Craft or as a Skinner. This Knife would make a nice Christmas/Birthday or other special occasion Gift. Well done Perkin Knives.

Durable Butter Knife
This knife has excellent durability, value, and is extremely sturdy. However, there are some glaring issues that come with it that - if you’re willing to ignore, aren’t a problem - make it not a five star knife. Granted, you do get what you pay for, but I digress. Pros: The weight of this knife is great for batoning wood. It’s thick, and can take quite a bit of torment if you really need it to. The handle is extremely comfortable for just wood to boot, and it’s thickness let’s you hold it with a pair of gloves on without it sliding around or not letting you get a good grip on it. I’d definitely recommend this for your preteen kids if they’re going to be allowed to carry this tool while camping, as it’s about as sharp as a rubber ball. Cons: The blade is advertised as razor sharp. I seem to have forgot that razor sharp is synonymous with things like butter knives and training knives. I had to spend way more time than I have with any other knife sharpening this thing just to get it to even remotely pass a knuckle test or slice a sheet of paper. Not good. Secondly, the sheath for this knife is very cheap, and looks incredibly goofy with the “.com” logo plastered right in the middle. The actual sheath itself isn’t bad if you’re just carrying it on your hip for daily use, but as a camper and bush crafter this sheath was incredibly disappointing and already began to show excessive wear after only two trips. Get what you pay for here, yet again. Overall, a durable and thick butter knife with a goofy sheath and a nice, comfortable feel in the hand. Just okay.

I have had this knife in my pocket for several weeks now and I'm very happy with it. It's not an expensive knife but is made as well as many I've seen at a much higher price. It's a sturdy little piece made with good materials and shows its handmade quirkiness. It doesn't arrive razor sharp but is adequately sharp for general purposes. It suits me fine for EDC. I have fancier knives for special use and I wouldn't probably use this knife for something like wood carving. The sheath is much better than I expected. So far it's holding up well and still looks good. All in all, one of the best inexpensive knives I have come across. If you compare it to other expensive knives, it may disappoint you, but if you compare it to knives in the same or lesser price range, i think you may be impressed.

Sehr schönes und scharfes Messer.... jedoch etwas unsauber verarbeitet. Der Stahl am Griffbereich ist noch etwas scharfkantig!
