Greek Frequency Dictionary - Intermediate Vocabulary: 2501-5000 Most Common Greek Words (Learn (Modern) Greek with the Greek Frequency Dictionaries)

It was not what I was looking for. I was looking for a dictionary. I can not use it.

I am an avid student of foreign languages and have amassed dozens of vocab books, mini dictionaries and bilingual translations. I am also of Greek descent and have a decent command of the language, but the vocabulary is daunting, and I had not actively studied or read Greek in a while. I took a shot on the intermediate vocabulary book and was instantly hooked. The frequency concept is absolutely brilliant, and with these books you can attack vocabulary in myriad ways: by frequency, by part of speech or alphabetically. I was so pleased with the the second book that I bought the two most advanced ones. I am deep into the last one and decided to test my retention. I picked up a 500 page novel I read years ago. I had marked up 10-20 words per page that I could not recognize on the prior read. Now, nearly 100% comprehension, and nearly all of the words I had trouble with years ago I had recently encountered in the frequency books. If you love learning languages, give these a try.
