Now he's going to need to up his game… After a less than stellar freshman year, Grace is back at Briar University, older, wiser, and so over the arrogant hockey player she nearly handed her V-card to. He wants her back? He'll have to work for it. This time around, she'll be the one in the driver's seat…and she plans on driving him wild. Review: 5 STARS – The Mistake is sweet, sexy, funny and has the prefect amount of feels! Elle Kennedy ROCKS! - The Mistake is the second book on the Off Campus series by Elle Kennedy. The Mistake is Logan’s book and I can honestly say that when I read The Deal, I fell head over heels for this character from the moment I met him. How can you not love John Logan and his cocky grin? John Logan is a player a fact that he makes no excuses for. He is a very well-known member of the Briar University hockey team and because of this; he has no problems getting the female students attention. In fact he has no issues getting any females attention, at all. But lately Logan has realized that he has been hooking up even more frequently than usual, even by his own standards. In fact his friends are noticing it as well, but what they do not know, is that he has a reason for his behavior. He is just not willing to admit it or even consider dealing with it because he is far more comfortable with running away from the problem, then facing it head on. “This obsession with Hannah Wells is really starting to mess with my head. I need to get laid. ASAP.” Grace Ivers is a freshman at Briar University and she is well aware of who John Logan is. Her best friend has been chasing Dean, one of Logan’s teammates for quite some time now with no success. When she bumps into Logan at a party on campus one night, immediately following one of his many hook ups she is struck by his hotness and cocky attitude, but quickly pulls herself out of the lustful fog. John Logan is a player and there is no way he would ever be interested in her, the freshman virgin. Grace also has no interest in being yet another notch on Logan’s seemingly never ending belt loop. When Logan randomly knocks on Grace’s dorm room door one evening looking for a party, she is shocked. What could he possibly want with her? It has to be a mistake… and it is, he has the wrong room but, what happens next as they say is history. Grace and Logan are attracted to one and other and the sexual tension is thick enough to cut with a knife. Lust prevails and they do hook up that night, but Logan gets freaked out and leaves Grace “hanging” immediately afterwards. She is confused and hurt. Logan is totally clueless; he does this all the time, hooks up and runs, but then it hits him, Grace deserves better than that. Grace is better than that. “I made the guy come last night and he didn’t even stick around long enough to kiss me goodbye. So yeah, I have to face the facts: I’m just another girl on a long list of John Logan’s conquests.” “Leaving a girl wanting isn’t just embarrassing. It’s unacceptable.” Grace is not a puck bunny, in fact she doesn’t even like hockey, she prefers football. Logan doesn’t do relationships; he has no time, between Hockey and dealing with his troubled family life. When Logan is finally realizes he has feelings for Grace he doesn’t handle it well at all. He wants what Garrett has with Hannah. He is lonely and the never ending line of hook ups no longer interests him, he’s thinking constantly of Grace, other women no longer interest him at all. But he has screwed up royally; can he ever win Grace back? “It's a damn shame that duels don't play a role in the modern world anymore.” The Deal was the first book I had ever read by this author and I loved it, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on The Mistake. It then got buried on my kindle and I just realized I hadn’t yet gotten to read it and I moved up the list. I’m so very glad that I did, I love Elle Kennedy’s style of writing and being a Canadian I have a real soft spot for handsome, cocky, hockey players. I love that this book was a fabulous balance of sexy and steamy, sweet and sassy, funny and emotional. I love the characters, every single one of them. I especially love that the female main characters are spunky and sassy. The story line was great and I thought that the banter between characters was very amusing. I love that each book has a happily ever after and I’m really excited now to begin reading The Score. I hope that each and every one of the crew is given their own story in this series before it ends, because now I’m addicted. I’m reading The Score next; I’m excited to read Ali and Dean’s story. If you have not yet begun to read this series, I highly recommend it; I am loving this series by this fabulous Canadian author. “This guy continues to surprise me. To awe me. He’s a better person than I am, better than he gives himself credit for, and if I wasn’t sure about it before, then I’m damn well sure of it now. I love him.” “I need you. I can’t stand the thought of being without you.” He releases a shaky breath. “You’re the last person I think about before I go to sleep, and the first person I think about when I open my eyes in the morning. You’re it for me, baby.” Review: book 2 - This was a great read. I loved both main characters!! It has spice, sass, the sweetest FMC, rich family backstories, and a HEA! Hockey, romance, and hotness. What else could you ask for?! Give it a go!!

I don't ever want to leave this hockey house!
This would be rounded up to 3.5 if Amazon would allow it. John Logan is trying to get over his crush on his roommate (and best friend's) girlfriend. A chance meeting with Grace gives him the opportunity to focus on something else in an effort to do just that. Unfortunately, Grace doesn't take too kindly to being a distraction from another woman which leads to some serious graveling from Logan. While this whole series exemplifies elements of found family - it really shines in this book. Logan has the weight of the world on his shoulders as he not only tries to win Grace back but also struggles with giving up his hockey dreams to take care of his family. The way everyone shows up to support him, even when he doesn't ask for help, is what makes this book so special. I actually was slightly more invested in Logan's backstory and his relationship with his family and his friends than I was with his relationship Grace. Not as good as book 1, but a solid read.

Love the banter. She’s kind of a wall flower but strong and speaks up. He’s the perfect amount doting and big man on campus. Can’t wait to read the rest of the series

I finally took the plunge. A satisfying star read
What a chicken I was to leave off reading this book for YEARS because I couldn’t cope with Logan’s “situation” (no spoilers!) & how it could possibly be sorted in his own book. Oh ye of little faith! Elle Kennedy isn’t a #1 author by CHANCE! Oh no, that is TALENT baby! She took the end of book one, ran with it, then flipped that mother sucker on its head to dig deeper into Logan and learn about Grace. These two were definitely made for each other. The story spans from one school year to the next and we get lots of context too. There are some side characters that I’m not sure o know why they were added as they didn’t add to the story and a particular side character that really needed an ending as she just disappeared. Why was she so unhappy? What was she getting into off page? Was she ever forgiven? The s story seemed to end abruptly, and that threw me off a bit. I kept going like I was gonna flip another page, and that was the end! Besides the fact of feeling like there are so many things left unsaid this was a good book. Definitely liked book one more but that could also be because the show just came out on prime but nahh, I loved to book one even a decade ago, and it’s still amazing to this day! The hard part of this was the female narrator on the portions when I listened…Lorelei Avalon, she was NOT CAST properly in my opinion at all. She’s not a bad narrator, she’s just not suited, even remotely, for a late teens early 20-year-old college student. Her voice is more for characters late 40s early 50s in my opinion. I’m glad on book 3. It looks like we changed the narrator so I hope to mostly listen to that one. As always, Lee Samuels did a phenomenal job. He’s been in the game for a while, so maybe that’s what helps make it right for him. But he definitely knew how to change the nuances of his voice to suit whatever character he was reading at that time. All in all, this was a really good book that I’m sad. I waited so long to read. Thanks to campus diaries coming out on TV? I’m ready to finally finish up this series! Book 3 here I come!!

Completely Addictive From Start to Finish
I could not put this book down! The Mistake has the perfect mix of romance, humor, chemistry, and emotional moments that keep you completely invested in the characters. The banter felt natural, the storyline kept me hooked, and the relationship development was so satisfying to watch unfold. The characters were easy to connect with, and I loved how the story balanced lighter college moments with deeper emotional themes. It is the kind of book that makes you want to keep reading “just one more chapter” until suddenly you are finished. If you enjoy sports romance with strong chemistry, heartfelt moments, and characters that feel real, this is definitely a five star read.

this was amazing!!! i loved the characters and the writing is a lot better than most of its sport-romance-book counterparts. the worst part of it for me was the climax, i felt as though the FMC’s actions did not match her personality type. he is unsure about their relationship and is worried that she will leave him due to the seemingly bleak and boring future ahead of him. he voices this to her and she gets mad. mind you, this man had to grovel and beg and complete tasks for a single DATE. like girl, if we had been dating for 2 months and i had to do all that to get a date, i would be insecure too. it was quick so easily ignorable, but still bumped it down a star.

Perfect steamy college romance
"Don't waste your time obsessing over stupid actions of stupid people" 🏒💕 THE MISTAKE by Elle Kennedy was everything I want from a college sports romance and I absolutely loved it. Grace and Logan were so good together, but Grace especially stole my heart 🥹. She was strong, knew her worth, and wasn't afraid to make Logan work for a second chance. Even when things were difficult between them, I loved how they faced those challenges and continued to grow both individually and together. This book also had so many funny moments as well 😭😂. The chemistry between these two was amazing, the romance was sweet and emotional, and the story kept me completely entertained from beginning to end. It really is the perfect steamy college romance ❤️. ✨️ 𝗥𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 | ★★★★★ | 5/5

Loved every second of this book!
What can I say other than I LOVED EVERY SECOND OF THIS BOOK! Grace and Logan are such sweethearts and literally perfect for each other. She came into his life when he needed her the most, helped him heal and together they created a beautiful love story. I must admit Garret and Hannah and Allie and Dean (Yep, I’m writing this review after I read The Score) kept me more on my toes but Grace and Logan are my precious babies that I keep tucked away in a special place in my heart and keep them protected at all costs. The whole Off-Campus Series is frick*n perfect!

Off-Campus Secondo Volume
