Finish Powerball Automatic Dishwasher Detergent, All in 1 Ultra Powerful Clean, 2.4 KG - 140 Tabs

I was so happy to have found these Finish Powerball Dishwasher Tabs. They have exactly what I needed, real wrappers and no gel pouches. They work wonders on my dishes, and they're easy to use. I spent a long time of trial and error with other dishwashing cleaners. They all left residue either from the cleaners themselves or the hard water in our city. As soon as I tried these, all of my problems went away. My dishes are always clean and streak-free. I will never use another brand. I have recommended them to all of my neighbors as they have had the same problems. They also love them. A few years ago, most dishwasher tab brands switched to gel pouches, including this one. We went through two dishwashing machines before our plumber told us to stop using the gel pouches; they clog the pipes. We haven't had a problem with clogged pipes since I started cutting the gel pouches off. We were travelling for business, and our hotel had dishwasher tabs for us to use that still had the silver wrapper. I was thrilled! I didn't even know they still made them! I immediately went on Amazon and found these. I am so happy! They are easy to open, and easy to use. The tabs dissolve completely every time. I hope they continue to make the ones with wrappers, as I love them so much!

Great dishwasher tabs to keep your dishes clean and great price

I like using this compressed powder better than the newer gel pack types. My dishwasher repair tech tells me this doesn’t leave any residue in the inner workings of my washer. It cleans well. My dishes don’t require rinsing before cleaning. I just do a little scrape of plates before loading and everything comes out clean. Buying in this size of box also is most economical

This is the best formula dishwasher detergent. I prefer the classic packs with the dissolvable plastic wrap, but I can't find those anymore. These foil wrapped packets are annoying to unwrap, but really not that big of deal. I never had an issue with any clogging or effectiveness with those disolvable plast wrapped tabs. I'm not sure how dirty everyone elses dishes are to necessitate using the quantum and thos other premium gel pack line finish, but I tried those once and although they were effective cleaners, they left an incredibly strong after-smell and some taste, especially on plastic dishes. These tabs have always cleaned appropriately and leave no smell or taste afterwards. I had to return them to Costco after using a couple. Of the hundreds (or low thousands?) of these tabs I've used, I've only had maybe a handful of dishes that didn't come out clean. But that could also be how the washer was loaded, how old the food was, etc. I'll keep buying these as long as they continue to be made and sold for a reasonable price.

We used to use Finish pods but switched to these that are foil wrapped after everything in the news about microplastics (you do kinda have to wonder where the plastic coating dissolves). These work just as well in our dishwasher - clean dishes, no spots.

Our home was built in 1958, and it was a model home for the builder's homes in our neighborhood. This meant it had all of the amenities for the time: Garbage disposal, built in ovens and range top, dishwasher and even an intercom system (in a little 1000 sqft home!). We bought the home in 1997, and unfortunately over the years other than the ovens and range top, all of those other niceties disappeared. I brought back having a garbage disposal and the dishwasher! At the time we bought a top-end Maytag dishwasher that fit perfectly in the original cabinets. The way the builder laid the house out, the wall behind the dishwasher had the wiring and water supply needed to replace the dishwasher, but it also had a drain clean-out, which wasn't needed. It sticks out from the wall a few inches just about the floor. As the Maytag was designed, that portion of the dishwasher didn't interfere with the clean-out, but at the time I didn't even think about that. Why is all of this important for detergent? Well, I've been able to keep the old Maytag running, but as time passed, the parts for it have dried up. I wanted to try to replace it, but all of the new dishwashers need a flush wall behind them for installation! So keeping the Maytag is now very important, and as we've discovered, so is keeping the older style of dishwasher detergent! New dishwashers are required to use less water, so their cycles are much, much longer than our Maytag's in order to clean the dishes. Apparently these longer cycles use a different detergent formulation, and that formulation simply doesn't work in the Maytag. If use use those new "pods" in it, they don't dissolve and they don't clean the dishes! This older formulation of Finish dishwasher detergent does a perfect job in our machine, and I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't do a better job of cleaning dishes in the new machines, as well. Our problem has become finding the "tablet" form of Finish. It's disappearing from stores in our area. Thank goodness for Amazon. This really is a great detergent for doing dishes and we'll be ordering it through Amazon regularly. Highly recommended!
