The instructions don't give an answer for that. But from negative read, they can be used in cars/vans etc., so if truckers use them, they'd need to running for prolonged periods.

Lead isn't very long. Sorry its packed away so can't be precise. From memory around 2 metres. It has a 3 pin plug.
