Napoleon TravelQ 285X Portable Propane Gas - TQ285X-RD-1-A

First of all it didn't come with griddle as advertised. I was aware that this was probably the case from reviews. It's surprising Amazon allows them to keep advertising this. However, in spite of this I'm still giving 5 stars as my review is about the grill itself. Besides, it this price, I could buy a griddle if I really needed one. And it did come with a small cover that fits over the grill (not the shelves or legs) but pretty good. The grill is very well made. The grilling plates are heavy and retain heat incredibly well. I really like the fact that there are 2 burners although for the most part I only use 1. The temperature gauge seems to be pretty accurate (I have no way to test it). One of the reasons I bought is because of its portability. I'm not gong to be taking anywhere other than my storage but this was impossible with my previous grill. The automatic ignition works perfectly. Temperature control also very good. I'm delighted with purchase and highly recommend.

The grill works well but the griddle pan is missing. Amazon will only return the grill and not just send the missing part. The grill cannot be put back in the box after it is assembled as the wheels are locked in place by a hammered on fitting. I contacted napolean I'll update the review once I hear from them. Update: After emailing Napolean they did send out the griddle. Thank you Napolean for saving me the hassle of returning the whole grill to Amazon.

Love the grill but extremely disapointed that it did not come with the drop in griddle. I read reviews ahead of ordering and it was stated by others they did not receive the griddle either. I thought, this doesn't sound like AMAZON as I never had any issues with product description and order being complete. Obviously disapointed and will look at other distributers for purchases in the future. And yes I did request help two times with no responses.

Update — the vendor shipped me the missing drop-in griddle, so my order is complete. I’m pleased with the grill. It transports easily but has a larger grilling surface than many others, and construction quality is good. From prior: This seems to be a well-made product that folds nicely, but I am disappointed. The product description on Amazon stated the grill came with grill grates and a drop-in griddle, but the description was not correct. There is no griddle (which was a feature that contributed to my choosing this grill.). I’ve contacted the manufacturer, and will update this review if the problem is resolved.

Works great, took me 5 minutes to assemble since it’s only the wheels that require assembly. It came with a grill cover, which I wasn’t expecting. I did not get the griddle, but apparently everyone else didn’t either. I do plan to contact customer support through Napoleon to fix the missing griddle issue, however, I do recommend this grill. It works beautifully. I am using the small 1lb Coleman propane tank for now, but I did buy the Napoleon adapter to fit 20 pound propane tanks as well.

We ordered this grill to take with us for an upcoming Florida trip this winter. We haven’t actually cooked on it yet but we did set it up and turn it on to make sure that everything worked perfectly and the burners and the thermostat work great. We had one issue with a broken top handle when the grill arrived but Customer service for Napoleon was fantastic. They got the part on order for me right away followed up with me several times and we had the new part within a few days. So far we are very pleased.

I bought this grill because it has two burners but the flame is inadequate for intense heat when you want it, also If you can finally get to 400 degrees and you open the cover for 10 seconds the temp goes down to 275 degrees. The build quality is excellent but the ignition and temperature knobs are are very glitchy and not user friendly.

Would of given 5 stars, but the Griddle was not included, Amazon gave me a run around. I could not reach the company that sells this grill through Amazon! I did call Napoleon directly and was able to have them send me the griddle directly! Got it in 1 week, great company!!

Excellent product and value for money. It might look small but this guy packs a serious punch with two burners under cast iron grill that makes grilling even more delicious. Size of the grill is not to be underestimated as you can easily fit enough food for 4 people. Add on top of that mobility and versatility and it easily becomes a no brainer when it comes whether to get one. Make sure to get good cleaning tools (grill scraper and maintenance oil) when you can keep this fella clean. Excellent purchase!

Product is of great quality. However it was received without the griddle. I contacted the seller who offered to send me a return bar code which I refused. I requested a credit for the griddle or the product. Finally I received a tracking number the next day and the griddle arrived today. I don’t understand the reasoning for this. The Napoleon is offered with the griddle. However, I am very satisfied with the service from the shipper and the quality of the product. I do recommend.

We bought this to replace our last HUGE Napoleon. Perfect for the back yard or camping. Comes already attached to the stand and you just have to put on the wheels. You'll need to buy the hose and tank and you're ready to go. Also comes with the griddle. Great buy for the money. (You can also purchase it in blue if red is not your thing.) Very happy with the unit. Just adding to this comment, we purchased it June of 2019 and it's still going strong.

I use this for tailgating. It is excellent in every way. The flame is low but hot and it folds up in a jiffy to put in the van. It was a bit more expensive than some but the quality shines through.
