Very nice raincoat, bought it for a trip to Quebec and received several comments about how nice it looked. Very sturdy, and quite rainproof. Really glad it had the full trench length. Like any raincoat it retains the heat so had to open it up a bit at times but very impressed overall. Will buy it again if/when this one gets too old.

Keeps me dry in heavy rains. Think materials and good quality. Long enough to keep my legs dry .

Plus sized gal here who knows how difficult it is to find a raincoat in women's departments! I ended up buying this men's rain coat & so glad I did!!! Of course the sleeves are ridulously long. I expected that. I just fold them over a few times. Again, because it's men's, I knew it would be long on me. That was a bonus! It comes down to mid shin which I appreciate as it keeps most of me dry. The hood is big, but it has a draw string so it's not flopping everywhere. I normally wear a 3X in women's & my height is 5' 4". I bought the 4X due to reviews. It is big on me but not THAT big. I wanted extra room for a sweater or my lightweight fleece jacket, as well as extra room to sit. We all want to quickly jump in our cars on rainy days and the quick movements put stress on clothing seams. The extra room deals with that issue so I haven't experienced tearing or ripping. I normally wear my regular jacket & use an umbrella, but lately we've been experiencing downpours! I use this raincoat for those heavy, saturating rainy days! One of my best purchases!

Really good rain coat

This jacket is waterproof and reasonably well constructed. I also like that it is quite long and thereby keeps me completely dry if I'm wearing shorts. Obviously, if wearing long pants then the area from about knee height and below will get wet but this is a lot better than most rain jackets which will allow your bottom to get soaked. I bought this because I needed something to replace my very expensive Patagonia jacket that I'd had for several years that had begun to leak badly. Truth be told I've come to doubt whether those expensive rain jackets that rely on Goretex or equivalent technology are really any better than a simple PVC coated jacket - like this one. The Goretex types claim that they can 'breathe' and thereby keep the wearer of the jacket less humid and sticky but I've never found this to be something than I can personally verify. Therefore, why pay over a $ 100 for hi-tech rain jacket for a supposed technology advantage when you can't really feel the difference. My only complaint, if you will, with this jacket is that it doesn't have lining and so, if wearing a short sleeved shirt then you'll be feeling the PVC against your skin. But this is minor issue. One other thing . . . as other reviewers have mentioned the zipper has the 'pull' on the left hand side of the zipper and not on the right side like most American's men's clothing. But so what? It works the same. Finally, I'm 6'1" and quite trim (170 pounds). The large size fit me perfectly although it would be somewhat tight if I were putting it over thick winter clothing.

I like the design and weight....except for the zipper being on the wrong side. I understand that women's clothing is often has the zipper on the left. But this is marketed for men? I'm over 50 and the zipper is opposite of every other zippered garment I've ever had.

Regarding the durability. I think this raincoat is very durable. It has not ripped despite some very windy, wet weather! And is completely waterproof. It does the job, which is to keep you dry. I bought one of these to go over a smaller jacket, which is neither waterproof nor windproof. With this on top, I can keep warm, dry and windproof! It's lightweight and can be rolled up quite tightly to fit into the small corner of a suitcase and also has storm proof large pockets with flaps to keep the rain out. And a hood with a cord to keep it on in the winds. A very versatile item for wet weather walking. It won't win any prizes for style, and the zip only goes up from the bottom, it's not two way. But oh, it's so nice to stay dry in wet weather. Plain and simple and excellent for dog walking and so on.
